Chromium boride (CrB) has been prepared by using the chromium trioxide (CrO3) and sodium borohydride (NaBH4) as starting materials in a stainless‐steel autoclave. The X‐ray powder diffraction pattern indicates that the as‐prepared product is orthorhombic phase CrB. Scanning electron microscopy shows that the product is composed of nanosheets and nanoparticles. In addition, the oxidation resistance of the as‐prepared CrB product has also been investigated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
