We read with great interest the article by Yi-Chen Chen et al. 1 regarding the Long-term risk of herpes zoster following COVID-19: A retrospective cohort study of 2 442 686 patients. We appreciated the results of patients who had COVID-19 infection may have a higher risk of herpes zoster (HZ) than patients without COVID-19 infection, including zoster subtypes, for example, zoster ocular disease, disseminated zoster, zoster with other complications, and zoster without complications. Furthermore, subgroup analysis supported the findings no matter in patients with COVID-19-vaccinated or not, different age groups, both genders, or in different comorbidities.However, we want to point out some concerns.
