Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that has very high morbidity and mortality rate. This disease cannot be cured but can be controlled with good self-management. This research supports the need for appropriate information and educational media in supporting self-management of patien with diabetes mellitus. This research is qualitative and quantitative. The sample of this study was 105 people with diabetes. Data collection was conducted from July to November 2019 at 7 Puskesmas in Padang City, namely: Nanggalo, Lapai, Alai, Andalas, Ambacang, Kuranji, and Pauh, with interview questions and interviews. Qualitative data processing techniques with coding and data validity by triangulation and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and analysis. Quantitative data analysis uses SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis with the Lisrel 8.7 program. The results showed that the informants were elderly (56-65 years), 60% had good self-management quality, 65% actively participated in chronic disease management programs, 49.5 did not have cellphones. All aspects of self-management, namely blood sugar testing, physical exercise, taking medicine, diet and health education, can be used as educational material. Research information shows the fact most still need information about self-management of diabetics and in the form of conventional media. Informants who use phones that are approved for Android-based self-management applications.

This research determined the quality of self-management of diabetics at community health centers in Padang City in 2019. This is a descriptive-analytic study with amount of samples 105 people with diabetes. Data collection was carried out from July to November 2019 at seven community health centers in Padang City, namely: Nanggalo, Lapai, Alai, Andalas, Ambacang, Kuranji and Pauh community health centers. Data were collected by interviewing and processed by the stages of coding, editing, tabulating, and transferring. Data were analyzed by bivariate and multivariate analysis (Chi-square and logistic regression) with a significant level of 0.05 (5%). The results showed that 60% of the quality of self-management in good category. Factors that significantly affect the quality of self-management are physical exercise/sports (p-value=0.003), education (p-value=0.006) and regularity of taking medication (p-value=0.021). The quality of self-management is largely good and physical exercise greatly affects the quality of self-management of diabetes mellitus patients.
Kematian bayi yang bersifat infeksi dapat dicegah dengan pemberian ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara peran petugas kesehatan dan status pekerjaan ibu dengan pemberianASI ekslusif di kelurahann Sawahan Timur dan Simpang Haru Padang. Jenis rancangan penelitian yang digunakan ini bersifat deskriptif analisis dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Penelitianini dilakukan pada tanggal 12 Januari sampai 20 Mei 2012.Populasi adalah ibu-ibu yang mempunyai bayi berumur 7-12 bulan dimana sebanyak 52 responden dijadikan sampel. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan teknik wawancara.Analisa univariat dan bivariat menggunakan SPSS 11.5 . Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubunganyang bermakna antara peranpetugas kesehatan dan status pekerjaan ibu dengan pemberianASI Ekslusif. Untuk meningkatkan cakupan pemberian ASI ekslusif dibutuhkan kerjasama lintas sector dengan pihak terkait termasuk institusi tempat ibu bekerja ataupun di sarana kesehatan.
West Sumatra is one of the disaster-prone areas in Indonesia, due to geographical, climatic, geological and other factors. Padang Pariaman is one area that is often affected by disasters, especially earthquakes. One of the vulnerable groups directly affected by the disaster is school-age children. Psychological problems in school-age children can affect life in the future. This area-based community service activity aims to increase independence, increase health status and community welfare by increasing the ability of school-age children to reduce the prevention of post-disaster psychosocial problems through group supportive therapy and Play Therapy. The target of this activity is school-age children and teachers, totaling 37 people. This activity is carried out from May to November 2021 in Padang Pariaman. The method of activity is education and simulation divided into three stages: (1) planning stage, (2) implementation stage, (3) evaluation stage. There is an increase in the understanding and skills of the community, especially school-age children in the prevention of post-disaster psychosocial problems, as well as an increase in the network of collaboration between the Health Polytechnic, the Ministry of Health of Padang and the District Government of Padang Pariaman.
