Second source manufacturers of guided missiles require efficient, cost effective test analysis and evaluation techniques to assess system flight test performance. This requires a top down approach to develop the simulation and the data processing system. Raytheon used the top down approach to develop a completely automated data processing system that combines the functional steps of analysis into a unified data processing system. This data processing system permits analysts to conduct preflight and postflight analysis of flight tests using data from many sources such as the test range instrumentation, missile telemetry, and system simulations. The system must allow for the comparison of predicted and actual data. The analysis and evaluation requirements that are unique to the contractor ~nclude short development time of data processing and simulation compatibility, the use of as much existing processing capability as possible, limited ability to influence available sources of data from the system under test, and the need for quick turnaround on post-mission assessment before committing to new launches.Raytheon responded to these requirements and developed a successful analysis and evaluation system that was a key factor in making the Infrared (IR) Maverick second source qualification program successful. A survey of clinical psychology services in Scotland was conducted to determine the availability and use of statistical software packages. Few services use commercially available or free software. The authors recommend several free packages.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
