Excited states of 118 Sb were populated via the 116 Cd( 7 Li,5n) 118 Sb fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 50 MeV. The previously known level scheme has been considerably extended, and about 36 new transitions were added into the level scheme of 118 Sb. One new rotational band has been identified, and assigned the πg −1 9/2 ⊗ νg 7/2 configuration. The configuration-fixed constrained triaxial relativistic mean-field approaches and the particle-rotor model calculations are employed for analysis of the level structure of 118 Sb.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
