Electrochemical behaviors of chalcopyrite, covellite, chalcocite and bornite in 9K medium at 65 °C were compared in this paper to verify they whether or not the intermediate products of chalcopyrite. The results confirmed that bornite, chalcocite and covellite are the intermediate products of chalcopyrite. Chalcocite and bornite can both oxidize to covellite.
The paper researched on hematite’s characteristic of process mineralogy in Fengyang Anhui province. The chemical compositions of the ore were analyzed. The species, components of the hematite are determined, and the grain size and embedded characteristic of the ore are statistical. Some suggestions are proposed to improve the recovery of Fe2O3 according to the result of the process mineralogy study.
Iodine-iodide leaching gold ore is a promising method alternative to cyanide leaching. In this paper, Eh—pH diagram of Au-I--I2-H2O system was established through calculating the equilibrium potentials of the main chemical reactions based on the thermodynamic data of the actual iodide leaching of gold system. Gold ore leaching experiments in iodine-iodide system under different influence factors were carried out to verify the effectiveness of the Eh-pH diagram. The results indicated the diagram of Eh-pH can effectively guide the actual gold ore leaching in iodine-iodide system.
