Since the massless quantum electrodynamics in 2+1 dimensions (QED3) with nonzero gauge boson mass ๐ can be used to explain some important traits of high-๐c superconductivity in planar cuprates, it is worthwhile to apply this model to analyze the nature of chiral phase transition at the critical value ๐c. Based on the feature of chiral susceptibility, we show that the system at ๐c exhibits a second-order phase transition which accords with the nature of appearance of the high-๐c superconductivity, and the estimated critical exponents around ๐c are illustrated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citationsโcitations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
