Source of materialAmixture of 4-acetamidobenzoic acid (0.072 g, 0.4 mmol), copper chloride (0.034 g, 0.2 mmol) and 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bipy, 0.031 g, 0.2 mmol) was dissolved in 15 ml of 95 %ethanol. The pH value of the resultant mixture was adjusted to about 6.5 by adding three drops of triethylamine solution and the reaction was kept under water-bath condition at 343 Kfor 20 h. Afterwards, the system was filtrated, and the filtrate was cooled to room temperature slowly. Deep blue single crystals suitable for X-ray diffraction analysis were obtained after three weeks.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
