ABSTRACTЕight populations of Blitum virgatum L., belonging to 5 different phytogeographic regions have been karyologically and morphologically tested. Intrapopulation and interpopulation variability have been traced. The rеlationship between morphological and karyological variability, ecological, and geographic appurtenance of the studied populations has been explored. The main source of phenotype variation in all population is the interpopulation variation. Interpopulation differences are influenced by the differences in karyotypes, environmental conditions and composition of communities.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
