The problem of energy saving is extremely important for Russia. It is necessary to study alternative energy sources, as well as to improve devices and methods for ensuring the microclimate of buildings, heat and cold supply. The authors consider the improvement of geothermal heat pumps. The article suggests using geothermal heat pumps to provide not only heat supply to buildings, but also cold supply. Two schemes of operation of a heat pump installation are considered. The first scheme is a combined geothermal heat pump unit with a direct evaporation heat exchanger and cold and hot water supply circuits. The second scheme is a combined geothermal heat pump installation with a direct evaporation heat exchanger and the maintenance of equipment for cold supply, hot water supply and heating. A comparison of various refrigerants is given. Technical and exergic characteristics of vapor compression cycles are considered. It is proved that the efficiency of soil heat utilization processes increases with the expansion of energy supply functions for structures.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
