This paper presents simulation of speed control of Separately Excited DC Motor (SEDM) using Neuro-Fuzzy Controller. The Controller is based on Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) which aims at reducing peak-over shoot and settling time of DC Motor. The performance of the driver system was evaluated through the simulations using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results shows that the performance of the drive with ANFIS Controller outperforms the performance of the DC Motor with conventional PI Controller. 6 7 8 9 10 Keywords: SEDM, PI controller and ANFIS Controller 11 129 Case I: In this the reference speed is set as 130 150 rad/sec and the motor is subjected to no-load torque 131 condition. This paper presents the speed control of a separately excited dc motor using Neuro-Fuzzy controller. The controller is based on Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS), which aims at reducing the peak overshoot, settling time of a DC Motor. In the first stage, PI controller is used to control the speed of DC Motor. From the results of PI controller, the training data is taken to design the ANFIS speed and current controllers. The simulation results show that Neuro-Fuzzy controller gives better performance compared to PI controller.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
