A: At high frequencies, the impedance matching along the transmission line such as between an integrated circuit and the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is critical to maintain the signal quality and integrity. This paper focuses on studying the impedance of transmission lines in MRPC detectors. We present the 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation for the real MRPC configurations to obtain the impedance results by using CST Microwave studio. The simulated results show a nice agreement with the results obtained by actual measurements. The strip impedance associated to different MRPC structure configurations has been has been analyzed and discussed in detail.
