Kidney cancer ranks third among other genitourinary diseases. Surgery is the standard treatment for kidney cancer. The current possibilities of early diagnosis and a comprehensive approach to treating permit a reduction in mortality due to this disease. Study of the use of contrast agents for focal liver lesions studied well enough. The authors give foreign experience with contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis of hepatic and renal lesions and their own experience with the contrast agent Sonovue used in the diagnosis of kidney tumors.Keywords: contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis of the kidney, renal cancer, the contrast agent.
