A 73-year-old man underwent Mohs micrographic surgery for a 0.3-3 0.3-cm recurrent basal cell carcinoma of the left nasal ala. Tumor clearance was achieved after 4 stages, resulting in a 1.5-3 1.0-cm defect that extended to the level of the mucosa and cartilage.
