It is a way to improve students' reading skills and improve their reading efficiency to use strategies in college English audio-visual teaching to guide students to read on the basis of reading materials, stimulate the background knowledge in their minds and combine various schemata in their minds. This study firstly summarised the research on interactive teaching at home and abroad, and outlined the necessity and function of implementing interactive teaching in college English audio-visual. At the same time, the role of teachers and students in the interactive teaching process was analysed. Then an experimental study was carried out by taking college English audio-visual teaching materials as an example to discuss the specific methods of interactive teaching. After the experiment, a statistical analysis was made on the students' scores and questionnaires, and the following conclusions were drawn: Implementing interactive teaching improved students' performance and changed their study skills to a certain extent. Finally, through the analysis of the experimental conclusions, the impact of interactive teaching on students' performance and study habits was clarified. Finally, it was concluded that the interactive learning method could improve the students' learning efficiency by 25%.
