The current work aims to develop a suitable design for control systems as part of a queue management system using the transmission control protocol/and active queue management (TCP/AQM) protocol to handle the expected congestion in the network. The research also aims to make a comparison between the different control methods, including the traditional proportional integral derivative (PID) and the expert fuzzy logic control (FLC), as well as the optimal ant colony optimization (ACO) that is used according to the performance improvement criteria to reach the best values for parameters the traditional controller (kd, ki, k p), where the addition of the performance indicator time-weighted absolute error (ITAE) was adopted. The use of this method without any other optimization algorithm that can be applied to adjust the parameters of the PID to verify the possibility of improving performance and enhance that with experience and to know the level of improvement for this particular system being the subject of the study. The results showed the superiority of the optimal ACO over both the FLC expert and the conventional PID, as well as the superiority of the FLC expert over the traditional PID.
This study introduces a novel authentication methodology; it is based on pattern recognition of fingers size and pressure when users touch smartphone screen. By analyzing diagrams of these touches and applying data mining for the first time as an authentication technique, this paper presents three new approaches. First, an exact-range evaluation approach has been verified that size is more recognition consistency than pressure. Second, a pattern-range is a new technique reliance on size frequency position. At last, using a size-range has been facilitated the login. The association rules have been modified to work on finger touchscreen data files. To login, 94.1111% of 18 authorized users are succeeded and 98.9% of 20 unauthorized users are failed. Android device and Android studio are used. Size and pressure are normalized to 1; a training set is applied; the password is not considered.
This work is undertaken as a scientific experiment to test a new design of a turbulent generator. The current research experiments the influence of novel vortex generator (VG )inserts on heat transfers within a tube under a uniform heat flux. A copper tube with a 45 mm inner diameter and 1,350 mm length is used along with a solid disc injector (swirl generator) that comprises ten crescent holes with equal circumferential distribution angles around the disk canter. Subsequently, a swirl flow is generated by deviating the stream flow 45 degrees causing it to spin in the direction of the axial flow. Flow directors are on 45? angles toward the axial direction for each of the crescent holes. This study is an example of flow degradation. Reynolds numbers (Re). range from 6000 to 13500. Therefore, fluid flow is treated as a turbulent system. All experiments done with air are regarded as a power fluid; the Prandtl number is fixed at about 0.71. Thermo-hydraulic performance of heat exchanger is analyzed. The average heat transfer Nusselt number is calculated and discussed. The experiment found out that Nusselt number (Nu) increases with an increase in Re. as well as the number of swirl generators. At four vortex generators (VGs), the maximum augmentation in heat transfer is around 4.3 times greater than the plain tube and friction factor is about 1.28 with 5 VG insets. The results indicate a promising heat exchanger enhancement in the local petroleum industries.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
