The thesis in hand analyzes the financial abilities of china listed media companies in the context of Big Data. An empirical study is conducted here by selecting 12 financial indicators as research variables; then it applies the method of principal component analysis and builds regression equations. Data collecting is based on average values generated from annual reports, from 2015 to 2018, of 91 sample listed companies in china mass media industry. Research results of this study show that the overall financial status of sample companies is optimistic, but profitability and growth ability of these companies still remain comparatively low. Finally, it suggests that: companies should be innovative in management, the internal structure of the industry should be optimized, and the value of data should be made full use to create new profit growth point.

The history of the Silk Road began circa the 2nd century B.C. when the Han emperor Wudi of China expanded the territory into the Xinjiang region and inner Asian mountain corridor, considerably enhancing the interactions with the nomadic groups in Central Asia in aspects including commerce, military, and politics. Moreover, India, in another hand, also was part of this nexus and occupied a key position as far as the sea route was concerned, and its correlation with ports of the Roman Empire in the red sea region. In this paper, the role of currencies for local commerce and cross-regional trade will be examined by comparing the circulation of currencies and their application in different regions along the Silk Road.

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors associated with car use for short trips. Using the data collected from a travel survey conducted with car users in Kunming, the structural equation model is employed to explore the structural relationships between car use for short trips, attitudes toward cars and alternative travel modes, sociodemographics, and the built environment. The results show that instrumental and symbolic attitudes toward cars are positively related to the affective attitude, and these three attitudes have a significant effect on car use for short trips. The symbolic attitude of drivers is negatively associated with their walking and cycling attitudes. Drivers with a better cycling attitude use a car less frequently for short trips. Concurrently, the effects of sociodemographics and the built environment on the attitudes and car use for short trips are also identified. The findings may contribute to understanding the car use behavior and help policy makers to identify methods for reducing car use more clearly.

It chooses 10 financial indicators as research variables and it applies the method of factor analysis. It is an empirical study which has built analytical models and regressive equations for financial assessment within the industry. It finds the financial performance of those listed companies is optimistic in general, but their development process is imbalanced and unstable. It suggests that the companies have to pursue a balanced development, improve their financial management system, and make full use of government policies so as to have a better financial performance. At the same time, the government had better continue to allocate more resources to the industry.
