Internet of Things (IoT) is playing a more and more important role in modern agriculture development. However, problems of efficient storing and reasoning those massive heterogeneous sensor data collected from variety kinds of sensing equipment need to be resolved to implement Internet of Things in agriculture. This paper explores the architecture of Internet of Things in agriculture with heterogeneous sensor data, and proposes a design of implementation to Internet of Things in agriculture based on cloud computing. The design is based on two-tier storage structure of HBase, which is a distributed database with high scalability. It access database using MapReduce model, a distributed programming framework. Hence, this design provides scalable storage, efficient data access, and eases other processing of sensor data.
By adding Mn into SAE8620 gear steel, the effect of Mn on the microstructure and hardness of steel treated by quenching and partitioning process is investigated in this research. Microstructure is observed. Hardness is measured, after that it is converted into tensile strength. And the content of austenite is determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. It is found that higher content of Mn increases the content of martensite and reduces that of blocky ferrite and also leads to higher hardness of steel. In addition, XRD pattern shows obvious existence and enhancement of retained austenite.
Speckle noise appearing in the interferometric SAR (InSAR) phase image degrades the quality of interferogram seriously and makes interferogram reflect the scattering characteristics of the target inaccurately, reducing the capability of extracting DEM information of target areas. Therefore, speckle noise reduction plays a major role in InSAR processing by using interferogram filtering. First, according to a terrain model with the assumed geometrical parameters in InSAR system, the paper simulated an interferometric SAR phase image with noise, which can be characterized by the multilook phase distribution based on the circular Gaussian assumption [1]. Second, the paper explores three interferogram filtering algorithm to remove speckle noise: Goldstain filter, Rotating Kernel Transformation and Lee filter; the proper implementation of three methods is given. Last, the paper discusses about the performance comparatively based on experimental results and gives broad conclusions and presents recommendations.
Strictly speaking, the indoor environment intelligent control system can not only detect the parameters of indoor environment, the state of every equipment, but also adjust indoor environment automatically in order to achieve the most comfortable indoor environment under condition of saving energy. Based on thermal comfort index PMV, we have constructed the MAS (Multi-Agent System) for indoor environment control with Zigbee network technology after the deeply research on the decoupling of the environment parameters. In this paper, main researching contents have been discussed like the cooperation strategy in the MAS, proposed a cooperation strategy based on the task distribution, which decreased the communication and enhanced problem solving efficiency.
The usability of Access Control Lists (ACLs) of a widely used enterprise software for directory information services called OpenLDAP is addressed. A directory service is used to store a variety of data such as employee information and passwords, and can be seen as a critical infrastructure component of an enterprise. Security and in particular, access control of such data is of paramount importance, and OpenLDAP provides ACLs for this purpose that an administrator can configure. The usability, that is, the ease with which a human administrator can express a policy in an ACL, is then an important issue because misconfigurations are known to be a major cause of security vulnerabilities. Motivated by public pronouncements regarding the poor usability of OpenLDAP ACLs, a systematic study towards evaluating their usability is carried out. The authors begin with a cognitive walkthrough, which identifies the broad issues, which then informs the design of an ethics‐approved study of 50 human participants. This study reveals that indeed, even with a limited syntax, adequate training and a focus only on devising a policy from scratch, OpenLDAP ACLs suffer from poor usability. The data gathered from this study is analysed further, and more detailed observations are made such as those regarding the difference in difficulty for different kinds of policy goals, and the nature of errors human participants make with OpenLDAP ACLs. As such, this work makes an important contribution to enterprise security and provides important insights for a (re)design of ACLs, in particular for OpenLDAP.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
