The aim of this study is to examine early maladaptive schemas and the reasons why people believe in astrology. Reasons for the beliefs of societies and people who believe in astrology from the past to the present were examined, and the reasons for individual and social beliefs were listed as a result of the literature review. The similarities between the reasons why people believe in astrology, which is becoming more and more popular every day, and the reasons underlying the early maladaptive schemas of schema therapy formed the basis of the research. It was investigated and discussed whether the behavior of believing in astrology is similar to early maladaptive schemas. Studies conducted both in Turkey and in different cultures were briefly reviewed, secondary data were analyzed, the research was concluded and recommendations were presented.
