THE METHODS FOR PREDICTION OF EVAPOTRANSPIRATION OF CORN IN ANKARA CONDITIONSSummary: Evapotranspiration of corn was measured under field experiment during the periods of 10 days. These data were compared with the values calculeted by the 8 different prediction methods by using climatic data. By this way, the most suitable estimating method of evapotranspiration which could be used for irrigation scheduling of corn was tried to determing. As a result, it was found that the best estimates could obtain with Penman (FAO) and Radiation (FAO) methods. In addition the crop coefficent (k) values of corn were prepared for the best fit method.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
