In this letter, we propose a novel channel estimation method using two consecutive subcarriers (CE-TCS) that is based on pilot channel-based channel estimation (PCCE). The proposed CE-TCS alters the system structure in order to maintain orthogonality between data and pilot channels over two consecutive subcarriers.
Contrary to conventional PCCE, this new CE-TCS can obtain both accurate channel state information and diversity gain in multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system with chip interleaving (CI). Simulation results verify that the proposed method outperforms pilot tone-aided channel estimation (PTCE).Index Terms-Channel estimation, chip interleaving (CI), multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA), pilot channel.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
