The energy wasted by the propeller of vessel can be gained as benefit by converting it using turbine as the source of electrical energy. The electrical energy can be used as the main energy source of fisherman vessel. The method in this research is redesigning the fisherman vessel combined with savonius turbine to obtain the correct dimension. Vessel dimension is built within Loa = 30.71 m; B = 7.67 m; H = 3.5 m; T = 2.2 m. From those dimensions can be obtained the coefficient between the propeller into the pitch 0.8 m, with the turbine diameter 0.5 m and the position of the turbine 0.1 m from the propeller. Savonius turbine captures electrical energy that produced by the low fluid flow that comes out from the propeller rotation, and will be converted by the generator inside the turbine to become energy. The power produced by the rotation of 1.31 rpm of the turbine is 25.689 kilowatt. It is enough to supply the engine generator with the power of 20.1 kilowatt from the power that produced by the turbine as big as 25.689 kilowatt to lighting the fisherman vessel. This technology can be applied massively to the fishermen vessel as renewable energy.
Aquaculture becomes an important industry and associates with many targets of sustainable development goals. As the aquaculture industries go forward offshore, the design of the floating net cage must be able to withstand extreme sea conditions. One of the vulnerable parts of floating net cage is the floater, especially at the bracket. There is load transfer in the bracket from net drag force, mooring tension, and horizontal force of the wave. Thus, this study aims to analyze the bracket under current and wave using the finite element method. Hydrodynamic force is based on the Morison formula. The numerical model was validated with the data obtained from corresponding experimental and numerical tests. On the basis, using the environmental condition in Pangandaran, Indonesia, the structure is simulated globally to obtain the deformation and tension. The simulations of the fish cage consist of single and double pipes. Then, the bracket at the floater will be analyzed locally to get the deformation and stress distribution. The maximum stress occurs at the connection between the horizontal and outer pipe of the bracket.
⎯ Coronavirus belongs to the ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection) disease, which has a high level of mortality risk. In 2019, this virus was transformed into Covid-19 with a rapid spread and a more massive impact. This disease has become a worldwide pandemic. Indonesia is a developing country and is included as one of the most densely populated countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has great potential to fail in overcoming this problem. Approximately 60% of Indonesia's population lives in coastal areas with low levels of welfare in almost all sectors of life such as social, economic, education, and health. This study aims to analyze the level of community vulnerability in the coastal area of Surabaya City by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. From the data taken by the survey, the results of the exposure of the Bulak Banteng Village area of Surabaya in the health, socio-cultural, economic, and general fields are 0.0469, 0.0871, 0.1809, and 0.3551, respectively. So the overall vulnerability is 0.67, which is included in the medium vulnerability criteria.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
