In the field of professional education, the problem of creating innovative teaching aids and educational and methodological complexes is currently especially acute. The tasks and functions of teaching materials in a foreign language are fundamentally changing and becoming more complicated in connection with the changing requirements of the labour market for young specialists, the duration of study at universities and the increasing informatization and digitalization of processes. It is necessary to critically rethink the experience accumulated in the field of compiling textbooks and education-methodical complexes in foreign languages and optimize their content and structure, taking into account new requirements. The article undertakes a comparative analysis of the classic textbook and the education-methodical complex of the new generation in the German language. The manuals are analyzed from the point of view of the content, the authenticity of the proposed materials and the communicative component of the exercises and tasks. The genres of the texts used and the types of tasks for the extraction of information while reading are highlighted. The results of the analysis showed that the teaching materials of a new type include the most effective traditional types of exercises and tasks, at the same time, the compilers make an attempt to use language and speech exercises comprehensively, lexical and grammar material is worked out in interaction, and the system of exercises is aimed at the formation and improvement of communicative, sociocultural, strategic and pragmatic competencies. The structure of the teaching materials of a new type also includes a program of study in a multimedia class for the development of pronunciation skills using authentic samples of speech and listening skills with full or partial extraction of information from texts of different genres, selected taking into account the level of students and the subject matter of the main parts of the teaching materials. .
The author's project is presented-distance learning course on the Moodle platform on German as a foreign language in higher educational institution (University Duisburg-Essen, Germany), the aspect of "written communication." The research urgency is caused by the fact that the growth of academic mobility in higher education causes the need to intensify the teaching of foreign languages, at the same time, the development of modern communications technology expands the possibilities of knowledge transfer and competence forming. The experience of the e-learning course is described, approaches to learning and their refraction in the structure of the course are presented: competence, communicative activity, intercultural. A thematic plan of the course, including the types of written texts, provided by "the common European framework of reference for languages" is provided. Special attention is paid to the organization of the thematic units of the course in accordance with the concept of "backward planning." Criteria for intermediate and final assessment are identified. Practical significance is determined by the fact that standards of provision of learning material can be used to create distance and blended courses on other aspects of teaching foreign languages in higher professional education of the Russian Federation.
Cardinal transformation in the education system transfers the mode of education participants to a higher level of a learner's individual responsibility for the academic results. In this respect, academic autonomy has a special significance together with its realization in the education system and its relevance for textbook series. The article gives the structure and content analysis of «Im Klartext A2» as a new generation educational kit. The purpose is to single out components for a learner's independent work to form academic autonomy skills. To perform the research content and structure analysis methods were applied as well as a classifying one. The result of the research is defining the task types possible to exploit as part of learners' individual class work. Most exercises and tasks from the workbook are to do as home task, their correctness is checked by keys. The workbook also contains tests with keys and a selfassessment scheme, which encourages development of self-assessment and reflection skills. The curriculum aimed at pronunciation, auditive and speech skills development is duplicated on the multimedia education platform ed.mgimo and enables learners to portion the material for revision and mastering skills by themselves, which leads to individualization of studies. The research data and results may be taken as a starting point of present textbooks and educational kits' analysis to take out the components possible to use as learners' independent work and, further on, to heed in the new educational training kit concept.
