Introduction. The cutaneous larva migrans syndrome is a common disease in the tropical zone. But in the countries with a different climate , like in Russia, this pathology is rarely met; thus, practicing physicians have not enough experience and knowledge about this disease .Clinical observation. The authors describe their experience in treating cutaneous larva migrans syndrome in a one-year old child. After studying literature sources, the authors understood that they were facing a typical clinical picture of this pathology. It was an interesting fact that neither patient, nor her parents travelled outside Russia. The authors also demonstrate the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment.Conclusion. The above observation underlines that sporadic cases of larva migrans syndrome are quite possible at the territory of Russia. The effectiveness of Albendazole for managing this pathology in young children was also confirmed.
