This paper presents an automatic door lock as the classroom security system in the Electrical Engineering Department. This system use the ID Card (RFID) as the security key that connect to the server. ID Card as the input to trigger the microcontroller and send the data processing to the server. The server will give the instruction to the microcontroller as the input to the magnetic lock door. The aims of this study are to keep the security of the classroom based on arduino mega and verify the effectiveness of the classroom security door. The research method of this study are study of literature review, designing of the device and testing the system. The result show that the RFID card of classroom security door in Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya based on arduino mega help the lectures improve the security, comfortability and the analysis descriptively found that the device can run effectively.
Navigation is the main issue for autonomous mobile robot due to its mobility in an unstructured environment. The autonomous object tracking and following robot has been applied in many places such as transport robot in industry and hospital, and as an entertainment robot. This kind of image processing based navigation requires more resources for computational time, however microcontroller currently applied to a robot has limited memory. Therefore, effective image processing from a vision sensor and obstacle avoidances from distance sensors need to be processed efficiently. The application of neural network can be an alternative to get a faster trajectory generation. This paper proposes a simple image processing and combines image processing result with distance information to the obstacles from distance sensors. The combination is conducted by the neural network to get the effective control input for robot motion in navigating through its assigned environment. The robot is deployed in three different environmental setting to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. The experimental results show that the robot can navigate itself effectively within reasonable time periods.
Solar energy is a renewable energy and has unlimited availability. Indonesia is one of the countries traversed by the equator and has a tropical climate and sunshine throughout the year. Solar panels are a system that can convert sunlight energy into electrical energy by utilizing the photovoltaic effect. Based on data from the BMKG Climatology Station Class I South Sumatra, Palembang City has an average of 3.75 hours of radiation during February and May 2021. The house, which is located on the banks of the Musi River in Palembang, has very good potential for the construction of a solar panel system in the area, because the area has an open area so that the lighting is needed by solar panels. Based on measurements made in the area, the average light intensity ranges from 50000 Lux -70000 Lux with a voltage generated of 38 -43 Volts on 22 and 25 July 2021. The solar panel system built will be used as alternative energy in the control system. AC water pump in a floating house along the Musi River, Palembang. Therefore, a solar panel system was built which is expected to be able to replace the role of conventional electricity used today. The solar panel system that is built must be controlled and monitored properly so that its use becomes more optimal. The control system is built using several sensors including the ACS712 Current Sensor, Voltage Sensor, and the PZEM-004T AC power sensor with an accuracy level for each sensor.
