Abstract:The purpose of this study is to find "the new theory" in the process of having quality "form" in architecture field which is usually visualized by the ruler through his ideology of his architectural work which is created by his architects. The study is about an urban design in architectural field related with space-power-knowledge. To reveal the meaning of the architecture objects is need to analyze the architectural object "form" as the culture-material, and to reveal the meaning of the objects through the hidden things related to the presence of the metaphysical data. To find "the new theory" used "grounded theory research", the method is part of qualitative research which refers to Glaser and Strauss. The achievement study is finding the idea of "architecture stage" of the ruler, represented by Soekarno as the first Indonesian President. Through visual observation and spatial experiences in his several architectural works concerning the "Project's Lighthouse" as his architectural work in Jakarta in the 1960s the idea of connectedness was found. He composes his architecture's work by inserted the "architecture drama analogy" as metaphor for representing himself and his ideologist by exploring the Javanese Ancient's as the basic design in the modern architecture at that time the east meet west.
ABSTRACT The many of architecture works of Soekarno in the 1960s are express the Nation Pride by exploring the Indonesian culture as the basic design into Modern Architecture’s buildings. This paper is a narra- tive of the spatial experiences in Soekarno’s masterpiece work, Tugu National. The study is refers to a qualitative research and used a Grounded Theory of Glaser and Strauss. By using a phenomenological spatial investigation in Tugu National building area was found an architecture drama analogy by adop- ted the sequences programming space looks like a drama performing especially from above through an aerial view of the Tugu National. The monument building looks like a resembled of ‘the drama perform- ing’ shown from a balcony on the aircraft cabin. A new theory named “Architecture of Stage†include to reveal Khora, as the concept of the ‘architectural form’ by traced the Soekarno’s ideas to express the uniqueness form of the monument. He composed an ‘Architecture Drama’ analogy as his tacit know- ledge in ‘tonil drama’ during his exile at Ende and Bengkulu. He reflected the Old Javanesse culture as the basic of the Modern Architecture design as an Architecture’s Event at that time. Keywords: Architecture’s Drama, Phenomenology, tonil drama of Soekarno, spatial investigation, Tugu National Monument    ABSTRAK Beberapa karya arsitektur Soekarno seputar tahun 1960-an merupakan ekspresi Nation Pride melalui eksplorasi budaya Indonesia sebagai basis perancangan bangunan Arsitektur Modern. This study is qualitative research that was concerned in a museum of the millennials' age. By a comparison study between a traditional museum "De Tjolomadoe" and an imaginary of Soekarno's virtual museum was found the similarities and differences scheme. "De Tjolomadoe" as a traditional museum shows the giant machines artifacts as the iconic of museum collections, and the Soekarno's Virtual Museum shows the imaginary of postmodern architecture building to shows the maestro of artist paintings as the Soekarno's collections. Both traditionally and virtually created based on historical heritages. However, the virtual museum is the best solution to cut off the major construction budgets and rare museum collections. By a collaboration on multidisciplinary sciences, historical archives, architectural science, and digital application, a virtual museum as a video model of the imaginary museum building contained the historical archives that suitable for millennials as it is easy to access everywhere and anytime in the cyberspace.
Abstract:For the "A" New Museum of Indonesian Batik, Ivan Saputra was the architect winner of the Museum Design Competition in 2013. Preparation for the competition required architectural design guidelines, which were an important part of the terms of reference for the project. This paper aims to provide an overview of the issues surrounding the work involved in the collaboration work between the Indonesian government and multi-disciplinary participants to establish museum design guidelines for this competition. By articulating and elaborating the characteristics of several famous museums design in the world, by defining relevant architectural theories, and by exploring an in-depth analysis of "batik", which UNESCO designated as Intangible Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO in 2009, the architectural design guidelines were developed based onfindings revealedby inserting "batik" itself as the museum storyline into contemporary architecture. By referring to trans-disciplinary methods and concepts, then the process of batik making is potentially a kind of architectural "showing off" to expose the uniqueness of Indonesian batik as well as the Architecture-Event theory promoted by French philosopher Jacques Derrida.
