We used the IMP graph plot method to measure regional CBF in normal healthy subjects, without arterial blood sampling, and obtained compatible CBF values. This method is non-invasive and convenient for determination of regional CBF in the clinical setting.
Today, the need to develop more efficient thermal power systems that emit less greenhouse effect gas has become a paramount importance. In line with this awareness, our research has leapt into such development that the combination of SOFC and Gas Turbine could generate power at extremely high efficiency. In this paper, we would like to present our concept of Inter Cooled Multistage SOFC-GT Hybrid Power System, developed to maximize fuel heat input to the system. We propose the combination of F-class GT (TIT 1350°C class) and 5 stage SOFC as the best for the hybrid power plant system and 77% (LHV base) is achieved at high pressure ratio.
The relationship between fracture toughness and several epoxy resins has been investigated at cryogenic temperatures. Resins for cryogenic use are thought to require high fracture toughness at cryogenic temperatures. The fracture toughness and mechanical and dielectric relaxation of resins were studied at low temperature. The amount of plasticizer and molecular weight between crosslinks was varied. It was found that the fracture toughness had a close relation to the relaxation behavior, and hence, the effect of plasticizer disappeared at liquid helium temperature. The resin with larger epoxide equivalent had a higher fracture toughness even at liquid helium temperature. This suggests a guideline for the molecular design for the resin with high fracture toughness at cryogenic temperature.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
