The article presents a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of hybrid educational environment. Definitions of distance learning are given. The history of the development of distance learning both in Russia and abroad is noted. A brief overview of the use of distance learning technologies in the educational process is presented. The psychophysiological features of the perception of foreign speech by ear and its development in the learning process through distance educational technologies are considered.
