Teaching a communication language is not only grammatical patterns in which words are embedded, but it is also a function of the language. The function of the language -is the goal that must be achieved through written or spoken forms. Using the function of the language, you carry out the act of communication. The main goal in the communication process is to understand people, i.e. to understand the context. Culture is a central part to all types of the contexts. Understanding of the contexts implies that a person knows these cultural meanings related to time, place, person and circumstances. Many researchers define the main role of a teacher as a "driving force" in mastering cultural knowledge among students who study foreign languages during the education process.
The relevance of the research topic is that global youth culture is an interdisciplinary category, with the help of which analysts try to understand the emergence of complex forms of cultural identity and hybridity, which can be found more often among young people around the world and that is directly related to the media (cinema, television, popular music, Internet). To use the analogy with K-pop and Brony youth subcultures, the authors show the similarities between two subcultures on specified grounds, where values define manners and norms of behavior, which are valuable in youth subcultures, gained its worldwide popularity through like-minded friends in online communities where fans are an integral part. The inductive method encourages philosophize about the general picture of two modern youth subcultures to particular moments, i.e. dominant social values in their public actions in both subcultures. Using the method of generalization, the authors consider the value concept of “loyalty” for young people in the context of the phenomenon of fans using the example of K-Pop and Brony subcultures. The most important characteristic of group life is that it has a set of values that govern the behavior of members of the entire group.
Information and communication technologies have eliminated communication barriers, transformed forms of communication into social sustainability, created a global virtual community with its own language and culture. The list of Internet phenomena, which includes elements of a mass culture modified by technology, is long indeed. It is apparent that social media platforms, being part of the innovation process in modern society, have had and continue to have an impact on people's identity, especially on the cultural identity and emotional tendencies of young people. The objective of this study is to consider these ongoing changes influenced by information and communication technologies. To achieve the objective, the hypothesis is put forward that information and communication technologies contribute to satisfying the need for communication and obtaining information, create the language picture of the virtual world on a global scale, have a significant impact on the emotional component and cultural universals of young people. The study consists of two parts. The first part is a systematic review of the scientific literature focused on social media platforms and the influence of such dynamic parameters as speed and scale of interaction on socio-cultural changes, emotional tendencies, attitudes and behavior of representatives of youth culture. The second part contains a logical conclusion on socio-psychological changes based on the results of a survey aimed at collecting the data necessary to analyse the use of social media technologies and to identify dominant platforms in the youth environment.
Memes have become an increasingly common form of modern communication, which has recently attracted great research interest. In this article we analyze "language - memes", its influence on digital culture and collective thinking. The Internet, by expanding social content, contributes to the variability of cultural codes and consequently changes an individual’s cultural identity throughout life. The culture composed of cultural groups is defined as a kind of macro-code, consisting of numerous codes that are commonly used to interpret reality among members of the cyber community. Identity is also transmitted through the use of a specific language during interaction, which is a marker of discourse, in which Memes represent a distinctive business card. Linguists, as well as specialists in other disciplines (such as philosophy, anthropology) use each other’s work to study the interrelationships and mutual influences of language and culture. The study proposed a hypothesis about the influence of the Internet on changes in society’s thinking, the formation of the Internet culture and language, using the example of meme language, which is confirmed by the analysis of Internet survey. The interdisciplinary nature of the research is due to the use of mathematical method and the logic of meme language, its impact on digital culture and collective thinking, which is represented in the responses of respondents to the questions in online questionnaires.
A digital culture is such a vast and complex concept that is often difficult to define. However, using just a definition does not answer the question: what are digital culture and Internet slang? To gain a deeper understanding of а digital culture, you need to understand what makes a digital culture as it is. It is becoming increasingly clear that this area can be successfully explored only through the joint efforts of humanitarian, social, cultural and technical scientists, and therefore the integration and structuring of existing disciplinary approaches and results are necessary. Our research does not consider digital culture in terms of professional subculture, understanding of modern information technologies, their functioning, and professional language. In our research, the digital culture is considered in the range of the Internet user’s personality. The topicality of the research is that digital culture and Internet slang are «interdisciplinary categories, with the help of which it is possible to analyze problems of cultural identity», mutual influence of culture and slang in the system of unified computer networks.
