Vocabulary is a very important part of learning Indonesian, especially for first grade elementary school students. So as a teacher it is required to be able to apply the right strategy or media in order to obtain optimal learning results. But in learning in class I there are still many students whose learning outcomes are low because students are less active in participating in learning. The steps taken for improvement are the application of "Letter Cards" media. This research is divided into 2 cycles. Each cycle begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were Class I students at SD N Sidem 01, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 19 students. Based on the research results, the use of "Letter Cards" can improve learning achievement, namely achieving satisfactory grades so that students declared complete following Indonesian language learning. This is proven by the data obtained that the average student achievement results in the pre-cycle with a value of 65, in cycle I increased to 75 and in cycle II increased the average value to 85 in the good category. Students are declared complete in learning Indonesian, especially in vocabulary skills according to learning material. ABSTRAKKosakata adalah bagian yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya untuk peserta didik kelas I Sekolah Dasar. Maka sebagai guru dituntut agar bisa menerapkan strategi ataupun media yang tepat agar memperoleh hasil belajar yang optimal. Namun dalam pembelajaran di kelas I masih banyak terdapat peserta didik yang nilai hasil belajarnya rendah karena peserta didik kurang aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Langkah yang diambil untuk perbaikan adalah dengan penerapan media “Kartu Huruf”. Penelitian ini terbagi menjadi 2 siklus. Setiap siklus dimulai dengan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah Peserta didik Kelas I SD N Sidem 01, Kecamatan Gondang, Kabupaten Tulungagung Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 dengan jumlah peserta didik 19. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan “Kartu Huruf” dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar, yaitu tercapainya nilai yang memuaskan sehingga peserta didik dinyatakan tuntas mengikuti pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Hal tersebut terbukti dengan adanya data yang diperoleh bahwa rata-rata hasil prestasi belajar peserta didik pada pra siklus dengan nilai 65, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 75 dan pada siklus II meningkat rata-rata nilainya menjadi 85 kategori baik. Peserta didik dinyatakan tuntas dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya di kemampuan kosakata sesuai materi pembelajaran.
