The report presents authors' work on the process of distribution and handling of technical documentation in small and medium-sized industrial enterprises. A model of a draft project of the system is presented. The main structural units of the system and the interactions between them are developed. The advantages and features of the proposed system are outlined against similar existing ones. The main task was the use of CAD systems when working with technical documentation, minimize the use of technical documentation on paper; to train staff to work with advanced technologies for working with and exchanging documents; reduce the auxiliary working time and processing of technical documentation in the company. The developed system is registered in the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria with a Utility model.
The paper presents a survey of possible solutions concerning the problems and challenges occurring nowadays in European higher engineering education. The objective of the investigation presented are the opportunities of developing in engineering students such extremely important competences as: creative abilities and skills for decision making through improving the quality of the study process. The main methods to achieve this goal are questionnaire survey conducted in various engineering Bachelor degree courses and tools for improving the communication between university management, faculty and students. The feedback received in this study is especially valuable concerning the students' opinion on the accessibility of the study material provided, the logical consistency between the topics, and the visual presentation of the knowledge. The authors have created a questionnaire based upon the experience from different European universities including University of Ruse, Bulgaria. The results obtained from this survey are compared and summarized. Conclusions have been made about the importance of students' evaluation of the lectures, tutorials, exercises and academic staff presentations and the role of this evaluation process for the improvement of the quality of education.
Due to the application in practice and in the process of training students in engineering specialties, it is very important to analyze the possibilities of profiling real involute curves of spure gears. The report presents specific ones opportunities to build a real involute curves of a spure gear through one of the most used CAD systems. The results of the application of the AutoCAD .NET API developed by the authors for the simulation of the profile of cylindrical spur gears with external teeth are presented. The report is presented a comparative analysis between involute profiles built from existing CAD systems and profiles built through the developed application by the authors. The results of the research identified many possibilities for using the developed application for the educational process of students and for use in real specific production of gears obtained through the technologies of direct cutting of the contours of the gears by laser, plasma and water jet cutting.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
