This paper proposes a machine vision-based, servo-controlled delta robotic system for solenoid housing placement. The system consists of a charge-coupled device camera and a delta robot. To begin the placement process, the solenoid housing targets inside the camera field were identified and used to guide the delta robot to the grabbing zone according to the calibrated homography transformation. To determine the angle of solenoid housing, image preprocessing was then implemented in order to rotate the target object to assemble with the solenoid coil. Finally, the solenoid housing was grabbed automatically and placed in the collecting box. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system can help to reduce operator fatigue and to achieve high-quality placements.
The higher education of Taiwan in the last decade has experienced the new wave of rapidly developing intelligent learning environment for providing all users of educational and learning purposes. This study observes that the developed environment provided by intelligent learning technologies brings about the superior functionality and efficiency of message transformation. However, through an observation on H University during the 1996-2012 years, the adoption of intelligent learning environment can not satisfy users’ needs regarding environment architecture. Brown (1998) adopts the technology viewpoint to learning participation; otherwise it would reduce learning efforts and exhaust mental power. In addition, Russell (1999) proposes that the use of too much information technology would not improve learning effectiveness since educational field’s perception and behavior do not always meet the needs of users. This study finds that Orlikowski and Gash (1994)’s technological frame will be different due to various purposes of application of leaders and pioneers. Technological frame is a human made product of society. Therefore, this study suggests that technological frame can be used as the analysis tool for intelligent learning environment architecture. The propositions are three proposed, the main aim is to seek improved methods for the existing intelligent learning environment using case study methodology. The focus groups are utilized as research samples to establish the intelligent learning environment framework. By using the card sorting to establish intelligent learning environmental framework, the study attempts to explore the gap between intelligent learning environmental framework and user needs. Based on the theory of technological frame by Orlikowski and Gash (1994) to analyze the frame, this study proposes the recommendations as advanced references for improving intelligent learning environment framework.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Government departments and enterprises in Taiwan apply RFID universally in the fields of animal microchip, door access management, Auto chip of anti-theft de-vice, MRT Easy Card, parking lot man-agement, anti-counterfeiting and material management, but the multifunctional in-telligent card with integration of RFID applications has not been developed so far. If we can develop a card with integration of the functions which are closely related to people's daily life such as ID card, NHI IC card, fingerprint, E-signature and E-commerce (E-wallet), it will not only save time and money spent on applying these cards for people, but also will lower the governmental ex-penditure and achieve the effect of energy saving and carbon reduction. The previous studies mostly explore the factors affecting the user’s intention and behavior of RFID use from the initial beliefs (ease-of-use and usefulness) and attitude. For example, to what extent the knowledge, belief, attitude, perceived value, it deserves further exploration. To resolve the above problems, this study out differences from Social cognitive theory, Innovation Diffusion theory and Expectation confirmation theory, and establishes the theory model of the user's intention and behavior of using RFID continuously, which is also verified in this paper.
In the trend of e-government development and the emphasis on enhancing government intelligence capability, Taiwan provides publics and industries with active service process by integrating government information, building innovative technology (e.g. cloud technology, Internet of Things, IoT). The fields of medical health insurance and social welfare are the primary developing focuses of e-government. Government intelligence service strategy includes building multiple service environments, active deliver government information, centralizing resource for effective management, improving jointly interaction and trust, and effectively connecting social networks. The application of digital identification card already use in Taiwan few years. A investigate shows in this study. June 20th 2012, the amount of issued citizen digital identification card has reached up to 2960000 cards. This study expects there would be more service affairs to be transformed to web services. For achieving the goal of effectively improving the utilization rate and the amount of issued cards, this study aims to take the effect on publics into prior consideration. This study mainly analyzes the applied services of citizen digital identification launched by the government in order to realize the numbers of users, the average usage times per year, and applied items of follow-up conducting publics to explore the importance of and public’s satisfaction toward applied service performance. The descriptive statistics, cross-analysis, important performance analysis (IPA) method and recommended relevant strategies are adopted in this study. Although the government has achieved the initial goal concerning the effects of volume of circulation and the critical items (e.g. an income tax report) on public satisfaction and benefits, this study suggests that it would be more beneficial in mid and long term to encourage the integration of citizen digital identification with B2C e-business, ID and health insurance card, and digital permit with, taking European Union’s ID as reference. The expectation is to let citizen digital identification application gradually embed in citizen’s daily life (e-butler). The results of this study can provide government with useful references for continuous improvement strategies with citizen digital identification.
