Abstract. The dependency ratio in Sukajadi District based on BPS data is 41.67. This number is different from the real dependency ratio which is calculated by comparing people who do not work to people who work by 180. This is because there are still many unemployed people, working in the informal sector or odd jobs, and taking care of the household. The purpose of this study is to determine the determinants of the high real dependency ratio in Sukajadi District, Bandung City. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis (OLS) using stata 13. The results showed that the number of household members, household members who worked and the age of the head of the household had a significant effect on the real dependency ratio in Sukajadi District. This paper aims to see the government's strategy to maintain economic growth in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis method with the type of literature study of various publications from BPS, Bank Indonesia, and previous empirical literature that will be used as a grand theory in this study.
