Background: Stunting is one of nutritional problem that causes long-term health problems. Based on the result of Riskesdas, there has been an increase in stunting prevalence from 35,6% in 2010 to 37,2% in 2013 which means that 1 in 3 indonesian children are stunting. Lamongan was one of hundred’s stunting priority regency in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of nutrition education to incerase mother’s knowledge related stunting.Objective: The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment by designing one group pre-test and post-test design. The sampling technique used was total sampling method in which all mothers with children aged 0 - 59 months in Gempolmanis village, Sambeng District, Lamongan Regency. The Gempolmanis village was purposively chosen.Methods: The dependent T test was used to determine the effect of nutrition education on maternal knowledge. The response rate of this study was 86.4%.Results: The results showed at the beginning of the session, the majority of mothers still had sufficient knowledge (57.9%) and less (36.8%). Only 5.3% have good nutrition knowledge, but after nutrition education, 68.4% of mothers have a good level of knowledge related to stunting. The mean score before nutrition education was 60.5 + 18.9 and increased to 88.4 + 13.8 after nutrition education (p <0.05).Conclusion: It can be concluded that nutrition education can significantly increase maternal knowledge related to the prevention of stunting in children at the golden age. Regular nutrition education by the nutrition officer or posyandu cadre needs to be done as an effort to improve stunting. Hasil riskesdas terbaru di tahun 2018 menunjukkan prevalensi stunting sebesar 30,8%, yang artinya 1 dari 3 anak indonesia masih mengalami stunting. Kabupaten Lamongan merupakan satu dari 100 kabupaten prioritas stunting di Indonesia.Tujuan : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian pendidikan gizi terhadap pengetahuan ibu tentang Pencegahan Stunting. Metode : Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pre-test and post-test design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling yaitu mengambil semua ibu dengan balita usia 0 – 59 bulan di desa Gempolmanis, Kecamatan Sambeng, Kabupaten Lamongan sebanyak 22 ibu balita. Pemilihan desa Gempolmanis dipilih secara purposive. Uji T dependen digunakan untuk mengukur perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan ibu setelah diberikan pendidikan gizi. Response rate penelitian ini sebesar 86,4%.Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada awal sesi sebelum diberikan pendidikan gizi tentang stunting, mayoritas ibu masih memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup (57,9%) dan kurang (36,8%). Hanya 5,3% yang memiliki pengetahuan gizi baik, namun setelah edukasi gizi, 68,4% ibu memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik. Rerata skor sebelum edukasi sebesar 60,5 + 18,9 dan meningkat menjadi 88,4 + 13,8 setelah edukasi gizi (P<0.05).Kesimpulan : Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan gizi secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu terkait pencegahan stunting pada anak di usia golden period. Pemberian edukasi gizi secara berkala baik oleh petugas gizi puskesmas maupun kader posyandu perlu dilakukan sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting.
Background: anemia prevention through iron-folic acid supplementation (IFA) for female adolescent has become goverment’s program priority. Although this programme have been running, several constrains including consumption compliance was frequently found. On the other hand, school have potential resources such as Junior of The Red Cross (PMR) which can be peer educator for health including anemia for other students. Objectives: this research was aimed to describe knowledge, practice, and attitude of PMR member toward IFA supplementation in SMAN 2 LamonganMethods: This research used cross sectional design. The population of this study was 100 members of the Red Cross Youth Teaching (PMR) SMAN 2 Lamongan. The sample of this study was 60 students who were selected by the simple random sampling method who met the inclusion criteria, such as were active members of the PMR and were willing to take part in the study. Data collection was carried out using self-administered questionnaires using an online questionnaire application consisting of 20 questions to measure knowledge; 20 questions to measure attitude; and 13 questions to measure behavior. Data were categorized and analyzed using descriptive tests.Results: Most respondents still have lack of knowledge related to the TTD program (56.7%) and its benefits (56.7%). 66% of PMR cadres have a positive attitude towards TTD, but not 100% of PMR cadres consume blood-added tablets regularly.Conclusions Strengthening of knowledge and attitudes towards TTD is needed to improve compliance of TTD consumption among PMR members so that later PMR cadres can become peer educators for other students.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: penanggulangan anemia dengan pemberian Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) dengan sasaran remaja putri menjadi fokus pemerintah saat ini. Walaupun sudah mulai berjalan, seringkali ditemukan beberapa kendala dalam pelaksanaan program, diantaranya ketidakpatuhan konsumsi TTD. Di sisi lain, sekolah memiliki potensi sumberdaya untuk meningkatkan optimalisasi program TTD, salah satunya adalah Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) yang dapat menjadi pendidik sebaya tentang masalah kesehatan termasuk anemia bagi siswi lainnya.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat gambaran pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku kader PMR di SMA Negeri 2 Lamongan terhadap program pemberian TTDMetode: Penelitian ini merupakan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah anggota ekstrakurikuler Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) SMAN 2 Lamongan sejumlah 100 orang. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 60 siswa anggota PMR yang dipilih dengan metode simple random sampling dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi yaitu merupakan anggota aktif PMR dan bersedia mengikuti penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan self-administered questionnaires dengan menggunakan aplikasi kuesioner online yang terdiri dari 20 pertanyaan untuk mengukur pengetahuan; 20 pertanyaan untuk mengukur sikap; dan 13 pertanyaan untuk mengukur perilaku. Data dikategorikan dan dianalisis menggunakan uji deskriptif.Hasil: Sebagian besar responden masih memiliki pengetahuan yang kurang terkait program TTD (56,7%) dan manfaatnya (56,7%). Sebesar 66% kader PMR memiliki sikap yang positif terhadap TTD, namun tidak 100% kader PMR mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah secara rutin.Kesimpulan: Perlu penguatan terhadap pengetahuan serta sikap terhadap TTD untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan konsumsi TTD di kalangan anggota PMR agar nantinya kader PMR dapat menjadi pendidik sebaya bagi siswi lainnya.
Latar Belakang: Obesitas merupakan masalah gizi lebih yang menjadi salah satu masalah gizi ganda yang harus diatasi. Seseorang dengan obesitas cenderung mempunyai risiko lebih besar untuk mengalami penyakit hipertensi, diabetes melitus dan kemungkinan mengalami serangan jantung yang dapat ditunjukkan dengan skor kalsium pada jantung. Tujuan: Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan serta melihat perbedaan kejadian diabetes melitus tipe 2, kolesterol, dan skor kalsium pada pasien yang menderita hipertensi disertai obesitas. Metode: Desain penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah studi cross-sectional dengan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Tempat pengambilan data dilakukan di RS Siloam Surabaya (2018-2021). Penentuan sampel diambil menyesuaikan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti. Penarikan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling method. Jumlah sampel yakni 59 laki-laki dan 59 perempuan dengan instrument penelitian berupa kuesioner, wawancara, pengukuran data antropometri, data Riwayat tekanan darah dan Riwayat kolesterol. Hasil: Sebagian besar subjek adalah lansia akhir (38,1%).Terdapat perbedaan pada riwayat kolesterol subjek perempuan dan laki-laki (p=0,002). Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang nyata pada riwayat DM Tipe 2 pada subjek (p=0.092). Tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata pada skor kalsium pada subjek (p=0,062). Sebagian besar subjek selain penyandang DM tipe 2 juga mempunyai riwayat kolesterol yang tinggi (73,3%). Tidak ditemukan adanya korelasi yang nyata diantara Riwayat kolesterol yang tinggi dengan DM tipe 2 pada subjek (p=0.006). Sebagian besar subjek yang mempunyai riwayat DM tipe 2 berada pada skor kalsium yang bermakna (26,6%). Tidak ditemukan hubungan antara diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan skor kalsium pada subjek (p=0.102) Kesimpulan: Tidak ditemukan hubungan diantara kejadian DM tipe 2 dengan kolesterol serta kejadian DM tipe 2 dengan skor kalsium pada subjek. Terdapat perbedaan yang nyata pada kejadian kolesterol pada subjek. Tidak ditemukan perbedaan kejadian DM tipe 2 dan skor kalsium pada subjek yang merupakan pasien dengan riwayat hipertensi disertai obesitas.
Background: The foodservice system in Children Penitentiary is an action for fulfilling the nutritional needs of prisoners. Lack of nutrition that is not by the standard, will result in the occurrence of nutritional problems and reduce the health status for prisoners during the coaching period. One indicator for better quality access to food services is to explore how the perceptions of prisoners on food services which are provided by the institution. Objective: The aims of this study was to determine the perceptions of inmates on the quality of service and provision of food at the Children Penitentiary Class IA, Blitar Regency. Method: This study used a qualitative approach with a semi-structured deep interview and observation method to explore data deeply and holistically. The informants consisted of 10 people and the criteria for key informants were between age range from 15 until 20 years old. Result: The results of the study showed that there were factors that influenced the perception of food quality assessment in LPKA, including internal factors, such as the emergence of eating behaviour and formation of eating culture among other prisoners. Besides assessment, there also included the taste of food, a portion of food, variety of menus, food hygiene, also the food from visitors or family. Conclusion: Eating behavior among prisoners forms a new culture in the scope of Class IA LPKA Blitar, which is a culture of joint eating or "kembul" which creates a sense of family among prisoners.
Female adolescents are prone to iron deficiency anemia due to regular menstrual cycles and loss of basal, thus requiring sufficient iron intake from food consumed daily. The concept of the Health Belief Model which consists of perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, and self efficacy helps to take action on the prevention of anemia. This study aimed to analyze the correlation of knowledge, the Health Belief Model, and consumption patterns with anemic status at Saint Stanislaus High School. This study used a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all female students in grade X and XI of Saint Stanislaus Senior High School, totaling 84 people. The cluster random sampling technique was used to calculate the total amount of samples, totaling 46 people as the sample of this study. The data collected included respondent characteristics, knowledge rate, construction of Health Belief Model, consumption patterns of iron source foods differentiated into levels of adequacy and frequency of eating, and anemia status. The results of this study showed that 14 of the respondents aged 16 years experienced anemia (30.43%). The correlation of knowledge and the incidence of anemia significantly correlated, with a p-value of 0.044 (p <0.005). Meanwhile, constructs of the Health Belief Model and the level of adequacy of food consumption of iron sources had no correlation with the incidence of anemia (p> 0.005). The frequency of kale consumption as a source of non heme iron had a correlation with the incidence of anemia (p <0.005). This study concluded that there was a correlation with knowledge and the incidence of anemia in Saint Stanislaus High School students. Proper nutrition education based on the concept of the Health Belief Model can be given to students to let them have an understanding, good attitude, and practice prevention measures for anemia well.
