Biodiesel has been established as a potential alternative fuel for petroleum diesel. However, one of the main uncertainties about biodiesel is its susceptibility to oxidation. In the present study, biodiesel has been synthesized from highacid value waste cooking oil (WCO) using supercritical methanolysis. The influence of supercritical reaction conditions on enhancing biodiesel's oxidation stability and yield has been extensively studied. Five independent reaction variables have been investigated, including methanol to oil (M:O) molar ratio (3-40), temperature (235-275 C), pressure (65-145 bar), time (5-30 min), and water content (0-8 vol.%). The oxidation stability has been analyzed via Pet-roOxy commercial devices based on the ASTM D7545-14 methods and compared to EN14214 standards. Response surface methodology (RSM) via central composite design (CCD) has been employed to evaluate the influence of the process variables and to develop empirical models representing the reaction. Interestingly, it has been observed that water content in the feedstock would be an advantage to increase both the yield and the oxidation stability of biodiesel. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) has been used to investigate the adequacy of the predicted model at a 95% confidence level. The developed optimum conditions have achieved a yield of 99.8% and 26.21 min (oxidation stability) at 10:1 M:O molar ratio at 245 C, 125 bar, and 6 vol.% water content within 16.7 min reaction time. The predicted optimal conditions have been validated experimentally with 0.8%-0.9% relative error for both responses.
Every school's record reveals both its strengths and weaknesses. The keeping of records is one of the duties of school administrators. Maintaining complete and accurate records of all significant school-related occurrences is necessary. This study investigated the Influence of School Records on Principals' Administrative Effectiveness in Bichi Education Zone of Kano state, Nigeria. Specifically, the study sought to determine the influence of statutory and non-statutory records on principals' administrative effectiveness, how records management practice influences principals' administrative effectiveness, and determine the strategies for improving record management practice in senior secondary schools in Bichi education zone of Kano state. Four research questions guided the study, and four null hypotheses were tested at a 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The target population was 409 principals and teachers. Proportionate and simple random sampling was used for the sampling. The instrument for data collection was named: School Records and Principals' Administrative Effectiveness Questionnaire (SRPAEQ). Two experts validated the instrument. A 38 items-structured questionnaire was subjected to statistical analysis using mean and standard deviation for the research questions and Chi-square for testing the hypotheses. The study revealed that statutory records not only help in achieving administrative effectiveness but also provide growth for principals' efficiency. The result of the study further showed that non-statutory records with particular emphasis on the mode of storing and retrieving Data influence the principals' administrative effectiveness, and finally, the result proved that records management practice by Principals has a great influence on principals' administrative effectiveness in Senior Secondary Schools in Bichi Education Zone of Kano State, Nigeria. The following recommendations were made: Effective school records maintenance policy should be provided to ensure efficient and effective school records management, School administrators should be friendly with their subordinates and build confidence in them for the optimum attainment of school goals, Finally, schools should be adequately supplied with information communication systems capable of storing and retrieving information easily.
This article analyzes the concept of strategy management and quality in Madrasah Aliyah. As one of the educational institutions, Madrasah Aliyah really need their own management pattern, especially towards quality education. Philosophically Management in the context of the Madrasah Aliyah underlies a leadership in order to be able to build the life of the Madrasah Aliyah organization by developing a culture called the values of excellence in Islamic teachings. The management organization in the Madrasah Aliyah requires a leader and manager who understand the basic concepts of strategic management and the quality of the Madrasah Aliyah so that the manager has a wise vision and is able to inspire staff / workers and all the community organizations of the Aliyah madrasah. Using the literature survey method, this article reveals that management strategies and quality of the Madrasah Aliyah are specifically useful for determining ways and strategies, so that an organization can be managed effectively and efficiently. With an independent management pattern, it can be found the right way to manage resources, the easiest way to do the work, the cheapest funds to finance work, the shortest time to do the work, the right tools to lighten the burden and shorten the distance to carry out work, and produce quality and quality according to the vision, mission, and goals of Madrasah Aliyah.
Human resources management is an integral part of overall management of school. Therefore, this paper examines the role of school managers in the management of human resources in Nigerian schools. The paper describes the concept of management, human resources, human resources management and the needs of human resources in schools. The paper posits that staff training development, staff motivation, staff supervision, records keeping and managing conflict are among the techniques of managing human resources in schools. It also considered planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and evaluation as the functions of school managers. The paper identifies the challenges of human resources management in schools as a management practice, finance, managing diversity, staffing and performance appraisal. This paper therefore suggests that, School managers should acquire adequate skills of management and work to the best of their knowledge without fear or favour, Government should provide adequate funds to ensure regular training, retraining of staff, and building infrastructure for staff and students' wellbeing also the school managers should improve human relationship; each staff understand the others better, regardless of the differences among them.
