A rare case is presented of spontaneous urinary extravasation (urinary ascites) with left pleural effusion occurring during pregnancy. The clinical course, pathogenesis and treatment are described.
Ureteral seminal vesicle anomaly associated with ipsilateral renal agenesis is a rare occurrence. Cystic anomaly of the seminal vesicle may be asymptomatic or discovered by rectal examination and cystoscopy for evaluation of bladder irritative symptoms, perineal and testicular pain, ejaculatory disturbances and rarely infertility. The condition was diagnosed in three patients with various clinical presentations.
We report the seventh case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma arising from the spermatic cord. The followup of our patient supports the generally accepted approach of radical inguinal orchiectomy along with wide en bloc local resection of the adjacent soft tissue.
Polyarteritis nodosa is a rare cause of perirenal hematoma owing to rupture of 1 of the aneurysms. Eleven cases have been reported previously in the English literature, including 5 with a preoperative angiographic diagnosis. Our case, which was diagnosed angiographically before a successful conservative operation, is the first report of a patient who survived 3 years. The pathology is discussed.
