In the era of information technology, knowledge management became urgent need for raising the competitive advantage level. Universities considered as knowledge intensive base organizations. The knowledge are embedded in the academicians minds are sharing within students throughout various teaching activities. A valuable amount of knowledge that accumulated from academicians need to collected for sharing among the academicians community. The successful knowledge management processes of academician experiences lead to enhance the teaching activities. The learning process enhance by assisting academician to learn from each other and product high quality teaching activities. Most of academician’s knowledge is faded due to the absence of standard system that could collect and share the teaching experiences. This research proposed knowledge management conceptual model that can enhance the knowledge processes of acquiring, storing, sharing, and reusing teaching experiences. Data collected by interviewing academicians from Iraq universities and obtaining the required data. The findings deployed to develop knowledge management model that could work efficiently and affectivity to enhance the teaching activities in Iraq University.
In the revolution of information technology, the appearance of Internet of things (IoT) is considered a significant evolution that can enhance the efficiency and prosperity of daily activities. In this context, a few people are aware of the important benefits that can be gained from using IoT services. Generally, previous researchers have studied the technical aspects of IoT, such as architectural dimensions, models, wireless sensor networks and attribute-based signature. The aim of this study is to identify the factors that influence users’ adoption of IoT services at an educational institution in Iraq. The stratified sampling techniques were used to collect data from 221 users (students and lecturers) at university of Basra. Meanwhile, results corroborate that social influence is the most important factor in relation to the behavioral intention (BI) to use IoT services follow by effort expectancy, security and, performance expectancy. Facilitating conditions and BI have an effective influence on the use behavior of IoT services. Ultimately, contributions and recommendations were demonstrated.
Knowledge sharing (KS) is considered one of the essential processes of knowledge management (KM). Recently, the emerging Web 2.0 technologies were used by academicians and students for KS during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect the knowledge-sharing process through Web 2.0 (KSWT 2.0) technologies and their impact on academic performance within higher educational institutions (HEIs) in Iraq. The technology-organization-environment (TOE) theory was used in this study to develop the conceptual framework. The population includes students and academicians at Basrah University in Iraq. Using stratified random sampling, a total of 415 academicians and students participated in this study. The results revealed that the most significant factors that positively affect KSWT 2.0 technologies were the technological factor such as relative advantage, compatibility. From the organisational factor academicians’ skills and knowledge, and from environmental factor, the peer pressure. In addition, the results proved that the KSWT 2.0 technologies positively maximised academic performance. The results presented in this study are valuable for Iraqi universities that implement or aim to use Web 2.0 technologies in the knowledge-sharing process.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
