To maintain the existence and sustainability of higher education institutions requires a leader, namely a chancellor who is able to seize opportunities and read situations that are challenges far ahead, so that a chancellor has an important and strategic role in managing the institution. in the context of leadership that aims at the direction of rapid progress and change is transformational. So that the leadership style is very relevant to be used as a basis and studied scientifically. Practically in this article, it will be explained about the transformational leadership of the rector in the Nahdlatul Ulama tertiary institution which substantially examines how the rector provides exemplary, motivational, intellectual stimulation and consideration with subordinates in the higher education environment. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study model at Nahdlatul Ulama University. As for data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. As for the data analysis using the preposition technique between the findings and the theory used. The results of the research explain that the transformational leadership of the rector in private tertiary institutions includes 1) exemplary which is manifested through uswah hasanah, morals, work and work ethic, 2) motivation is carried out in two ways, namely orally and in writing, while the mechanism is carried out through formal and non-formal forums. formal, 3) stimulation carried out by the chancellor by giving itibar or inspirational stories to work well and sincerely to advance the Institution, while 4) consideration is carried out through humane relations with all elements within the Institution by prioritizing kinship and mutual care, compassion and care.
Radikalisme merupakan ancaman disintegrasi bangsa Indonesia. Pencegahan Radikalisme harus dimulai dari hulu ke hilir. Pemahaman yang sempit terhadap ajaran Islam merupakan penyebab munculnya radikalisme. Hal ini biasa terjadi pada sebagian kalangan pelajar atau mahasiswa dari perguruan tinggi berlatar belakang pendidikan umum. Maka, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi pemahaman yang sempit dalam beragama bagi mahasiswa dengan upaya menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama melalui pembelajaran MKWU Agama Islam. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji hakikat nilai-nilai moderasi beragama sehingga dapat ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Universitas Borneo Tarakan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bahan ajar pada MKWU Agama Islam di Universitas Borneo Tarakan.
This article highlights the importance of journalistic ethics concerning disseminating information to the public, especially on social media, so that community unity and integrity are maintained and are not easily provoked by false issues. Religious programs cannot be carried out due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, after the repeal of PPKM, the school resumed carrying out the religious program. This study aims to analyze the school's efforts to revitalize religious programs when schools are allowed to hold face-to-face learning in line with the decline in the spread of Covid-19. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Research informants are school principals, PAI teachers, and students. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. This study found that the revitalization of religious programs was carried out after the program was not implemented optimally or even could not be implemented due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. This revitalization is essential as a form of school responsibility in strengthening character education, one of which is the religious program. The revitalized programs are 1) Quran recitation at the 0th hour, 2) commemoration of Islamic holidays, and 3) Yasin recitation. On the other hand, the school also revitalizes the teachers' understanding of the importance of religious education, teacher professionalism, and moral degradation as a challenge. Revitalizing religious programs can be done after the end of Covid-19 by revitalizing the program and teacher's understanding so that it can educate students' character through religious education in schools.
