The purpose of this study is to describe that the Government of Kuwait, through its official social media, uses a lot of euphemistic and dysphemic language styles in conveying information in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach with content analysis to understand the symbolic messages contained in documents, paintings, dances, songs, literary works, and others as unstructured data. The data collection technique used is the observation and note-taking technique. Listening in the context of this study means reading, which is then recorded to document the data obtained. The data analysis technique used is the equivalent referential technique to find out grammatical units such as euphemisms and dysphemisms, while to analyze the background of the use of euphemisms and dysphemisms, pragmatic equivalent analysis is used. Based on the results of an analysis of data obtained from the official social media of the Ministry of Health of Kuwait, many euphemistic and dysphemistic forms were found in conveying information regarding the latest matters and developments regarding Covid-19 in the country of Kuwait. It is used for specific purposes. The purpose of using euphemistic forms is to avoid mentioning negative reality, which aims to minimize the harmful effects of utterances that seem scary, worrying, make noise, offend, hurt, disrespect, or violate social norms. Euphemistic forms also aim to evoke an optimistic attitude toward residents in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. The use of the dysphemistic form used by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health in presenting information about matters related to Covid-19 in that country is aimed at scaring, showing annoyance, and giving warnings so that they are even more vigilant in dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic.
The purpose of this study was to develop audiovisual-based learning media, namely short films for vocabulary learning in the profession chapter for the eighth grade and to determine the effectiveness of the product. This research was conducted at MTs Al-Wathoniyah 20 Bekasi. The method used in this research is research and development using the Borg and Gall development procedure which is summarized into four steps, namely 1) information gathering stage, 2) planning stage, 3) product development stage, 4) validation and trial stage. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The test of short film audiovisual media in vocabulary learning uses a test as an instrument. The average result of the students' pre-test scores was 44.41, and the average results of the students' post-test scores was 57.65. Judging from the post-test results of students who experienced an increase, audiovisual media in the form of short films was effective to be used in the Arabic language learning process in class VIII MTs Al-Wathoniyah 20 Bekasi.
Gender bagi santri putri Daar el-Rahmah Serang tidak hanya dipahami sebagai jenis kelamin, melainkan juga sebagai alat analisis untuk melihat ketimpangan dan ketidakadilan relasi laki-laki dan perempuan yang mengakibatkan kekerasan baik dalam kehidupan rumah tangga ataupun masyarakat. Para santri putri sadar gender ketika bersama-sama mengaji secara kritis kitab "Uqud al-Lujjayn" karya Syekh Nawawi al-Bantani yang jika dipahami secara tekstual bias gender.Untuk melakukan sadar gender melalui kajian kritis kitab Uqud alLujjayn, santri putri juga harus memahami secara kontekstual makna dzikir dalam tarekat Sadziliyah. Kenapa santri putri harus dzikir? Ini keunikan dari Pesantren Putri Daar el-Rahmah yang mewajibkan santrinya berdzikir tarekat Sadziliyah dan mengintegrasikanya dengan berpikir kritis, selain itu semua santrinya berjenis kelamin perempuan yang rentan dengan tindak kekerasan. Pemahaman dzikir secara kontekstual, dalam konteks pemberdayaan santri putri menuju transformasi sosial, sebagai "entry point" (pintu masuk) sadar gender dilakukan. Dalam memahami dzikir para santri putri selalu berdzikir secara rutin setelah shalat Isya' dan sadar bahwa ''mereka tidak boleh hasud, dusta, dan takabur dalam bermasyarakat. ''Realitas sadar gender santri putri Pesantren Putri Daar el-Rahmah Serang tersebut mempakan potret santri putri sebagai santri, mahasiswa, pelajar, dan masyarakat selama enam bulan dalam proses melakukan transformasi sosial. Hal itu terjadi dilatarbelakangi oleh realitas santri putri yang tidak aktif berpartisipasi dalam aktifitas sosial keagamaan di dalam masyarakat, karena mereka berpikir bahwa kegiatan sosial keagamaan di luar rumah mempakan tugas laki-laki, sebagaimana secara implisit dikatakan Syekh Nawawi dalam kitab Uqud al-Lujjayn.Kata kunci: pesantren putri Daar el-Rahmah, sadar gender, kitab 'uqud al-lujjayn’
