Many cases of violence occur in schools in Yogyakarta. Many of these cases of violence involve students in the same school. Aggressiveness is a form of violence committed by teenagers in schools, disturbing the community. From previous studies on aggressive behavior tendencies, emotion regulation can be used as a mediator variable in aggressive behavior research. Research conducted reveals that emotion regulation helps a person change negative thoughts into positive ones, so the behavior that appears is constructive, not destructive. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of emotion regulation as a mediator between self-esteem and aggressive behavior tendencies in SMPN A students in Yogyakarta. In this study, emotion regulation is considered necessary in mediating the relationship between self-esteem and aggressive behavior tendencies. This study uses a quantitative survey method. The research subjects were students in grades 8 and 9, totaling 155 students of SMPN A in Yogyakarta and collecting data using a psychological scale measuring instrument. The scales used include the Aggressiveness scale, Self-Esteem Scale, and Emotion Regulation scale. Analysis of the data used is mediation analysis regression. This study found that the role of self-esteem on the tendency of aggressive behavior by controlling emotional regulation was p> 0.05 (p=0.706). The research conducted shows that Emotion Regulation as a Mediator of the Role of Self-Esteem on the Tendency of Aggressive Behavior. Emotion regulation has a fully mediating role.
Education in Indonesia, especially higher education institutions, has a role to build interaction between religious adherents. How is this experience of tolerance in religiously based higher education institutions where the majority of students and staff are religious according to the institution. One of the largest religious-based higher education networks in Indonesia is the Muhammadiyah Universities or Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah (PTM) network. Muhammadiyah as one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia which has a network of higher education spread across various parts of Indonesia where students studying have diverse religious backgrounds. This study aimed to examine the dynamics of social identity in the experience of non-Moslem students at Muhammadiyah College. This research uses qualitative research methods using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Six participants, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, and Buddhist from four Muhammadiyah College in the province of Central Java - Indonesia, were interviewed and analyzed to obtain core themes. The results of this study produced five superordinate themes, namely the influence of the environment, personal characteristics, perceptions of the religion adopted, experience as a Muhammadiyah College Student, and perceptions of Islam and Muhammadiyah. The conclusion of this study shows the psychological dynamics of non-Muslim students shape the perception of Islam itself as a religion, also Muhammadiyah as an Islamic organization.
SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta menerima siswa-siswa kurang mampu atau siswa KMS. Siswa KMS SMPN 5 kelas 8 berjumlah 15 orang. Terdapat permasalahan pada siswa-siswa KMS. Siswa KMS memiliki motivasi yang kurang, prestasi akademik yang rendah Berdasarkan survey awal Guru BK mengatakan bahwa siswa KMS pada kelas VIII menunjukan motivasi belajar yang rendah. Siswa KMS pun jarang aktif ketika pelajaran KBM berlangsung.. Ini juga dikuatkan dengan data FGD terhadap siswa kms yang memiliki motivasi rendah dan prestasi kurang baik. Dalam hal ini penelitian tentang siswa kms sangat menarik untuk diteliti. Metode penelitian eksperiman dengan skala motivasi belajar untuk pretest, post test dan follow up test, Penghitungan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 17 for windows diketahui bahwa nilai t untuk pretest sebesar 39.762 dan untuk posttest sebesar 53.469. Adapun hasil uji beda menunjukkan signifikansi p = 0,004 (p<0,005). Kesimpulannya konseling kelompok yang dilakukan mampu meningkatkan skor motivasi belajar siswa secara signifikan.Kata kunci: Konseling kelompok, Motivasi, Siswa KMS.
This study aims to understand the dynamics of smoking attitudes and behavior in Muhammadiyah residents. This research uses qualitative research methods by using case studies. The three informans are the management of the Regional Leader Major Islamic non Govermental Organization in Indonesia (Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah - PDM) of the Banyumas region and the Muhammadiyah Tobacco Control Center (MTCC) of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, where three participants are smokers of Muhammadiyah residents. The study found four factors that caused Muhammadiyah residents to smoke after the issuance of the prohibited fatwa on smoking, namely the meaning of the fatwa that was still being prepared, subjective, faith that was still weak, and fatwa added more in accordance with medical assistance.
This study was aimed to determine the effect of grit and learning motivation on academic procrastination on students of Mts N 1 Banyumas who were doing online learning. The respondents for this study were eighth-grade students from Mts N 1 Banyumas, consisted of 84 students. The results of data analysis using multiple linear regression revealed that grit obtained an effect on academic procrastination, with t obs= -15.306 and the probability value of sig. (p) = 0.000 (p0.05), indicating that the hypothesis was accepted and the regression equation y = 141,415+(-607x) indicating that there was a significant effect. The result of the regression equation was y =121,697 +(- 0,597). The regression analysis of the effect of grit and learning motivation on academic procrastination obtained f obs= 131.445 and probability sig (p) = 0.000 (p0.05), indicating that grit and learning motivation had an effect on academic procrastination among Mts N 1 Banyumas students. The research obtained an R square of 0.764, indicating that grit and learning motivation successfully contributed 76.4% to academic procrastination, whereas 23.6% was a contribution from other factors not examined.
