This article deals with Business Process Modelling and Reengineering use in the hospitality industry, focusing on the improvement of direct telephone sales by application of the CRM system. After modelling the current state of the selected process using ARIS methodology, the same process was remodelled for the application of the CRM system. This application shortened the whole process (mainly the number of activities needed to prosecute) and allowed the front-office employee to be more clients oriented. The automation of labour-intensive processes can reduce the number of human-caused errors and improve the convertibility and reservation request and their overall value.
This paper deals with a design and a shape optimization of a tool that combines punching of a tarpaulin with the tarpaulin grommet pressing in one operation. The tarpaulin grommet 0.5 mm thick with a diameter of 10 mm is made of DX51D+Z275MAC steel. The designed tool and its main shape dimensions are verified by using a numerical simulation in an ANSYS Workbench software and subsequently also by a practical experiment, i.e. verification and debugging functionality in cooperation with H + D kovo company.
The paper presents possible approaches for reducing the volume of data generated by simulation optimisation performed with a digital twin created in accordance with the Industry 4.0 concept. The methodology is validated using an application developed for controlling the execution of parallel simulation experiments (using client–server architecture) with the digital twin. The paper describes various pseudo-gradient, stochastic, and metaheuristic methods used for finding the global optimum without performing a complete pruning of the search space. The remote simulation optimisers reduce the volume of generated data by hashing the data. The data are sent to a remote database of simulation experiments for the digital twin for use by other simulation optimisers.
