This study aims to examine the relationship between the time management skills of sports management students and their career decision self-efficacy. The study group of the study research consisted of 279 Sports Management Department students who were studying in the Faculty of Sport Sciences at a public university located in Manisa, Turkey during the 2018-2019 academic year. "Time Management Scale", “Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale” and "personal information form" were used as data collection tools. As a result of the study, a positive, moderately significant relationship was found between students' time management skills and career decision self-efficacy levels.
Araştırmanın amacı, Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesindeki spor politikalarının incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın deseni nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim (fenomeloji) desenidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2019 yılı Mart ayı itibariyle Manisa ilinde spor yapılanması ile ilgili birimlerde çalışan, spor konusundaki etkinlikleri düzenleyen ve organizasyonları yapan alanında uzman 5 yöneticidir. Araştırmada, veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Görüşmeler, ses kayıt cihazı ve not alma yöntemleri kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan görüşme soruları açık uçlu soru metoduyla oluşturulmuş ve analiz kısmında betimsel veri analizi yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucu çalışma beş kategori altında toplanmıştır. Bu kategoriler sırasıyla; belediyelerin spor politikası, spor hizmetleri, kurum ve kuruluşlarla iş birliği, spor örgüt yapısı ve tesislerdir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesinin spor politikasının, kanun ve mevzuatla sınırlandırılmış yetki ve görevler çerçevesinde spor politikaları olduğu görülmektedir. Bununla beraber, yerel halkı spora teşvik etmek, talep ve ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak, tesis, malzeme ve ulaşım ile ilgili destek sağladıkları görülmektedir. İldeki sporun işlerliği bakımından ise diğer kurum ve kuruluşlara koordineli olarak çalıştıkları sonucuna varılmaktadır.
The purpose of this study was to carry out an in-depth examination of the views of
Turkish football stakeholders on "video assistant referee" technology. The stakeholder
sample consisted of 18 male participants, comprising a referee board member, referees,
observers, club managers, footballers, coaches, press members and fans. Semistructured
interviews provided the data. A descriptive analysis of the data was then
undertaken. In the participants' opinions, the main purpose of the VAR Technology is
greater fairness, increased objectivity, referee development, reduction in errors,
prevention of critical mistakes, and to avoid spoiling the nature of football. The
participants' views on the implementation of the VAR Technology were divided into two
components the effect on referee behaviour and the impact on the match performance.
While the positive effects regarding referee behaviours were referees' making correct
decisions, preventing the unfair loss of points, reducing referee mistakes, improvement
of the referees, the negative outcome was an increased discussion of referees. The
impact on match performance was evaluated negatively by the participants. The
reasons were loss of time, loss of naturalness, getting distanced from the match, a
decrease in excitement, and loss of motivation. Lastly, the participants’ opinion about
the future for VAR Technology was that the use of this technology will continue develop
in the coming years and should be supported.
