Owing to its strong reducibility capacity, nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) can be widely used in the treatment of wastewater. In this study, nZVI particles with an average size of 14 nm were continuously prepared using a rotating packed bed (RPB) reactor with stainless wire mesh packing. The effects of the surfactant type and the rotating speed of the RPB reactor on the particle size of nZVI were investigated. The results indicated that the average particle size could be notably reduced with the proper addition of PVP in the preparation process. Meanwhile, the particle size could be further decreased by increasing the rotating speed of the RPB. Compared to a stirred tank reactor (STR), the RPB reactor had nZVI with a smaller particle size and a much shorter reaction time. The as-prepared nZVI was further employed to remove Cr(VI) in the simulated sewage. The results indicated that lower pH, higher nZVI dosage, and higher temperature were beneficial to the efficient removal of Cr(VI). The removal process of Cr(VI) well conformed to a pseudo-first-order kinetic model. Thermodynamic studies showed that the reduction of Cr(VI) by nZVI was a spontaneous endothermic reaction process with increased entropy. In addition, nZVI prepared in the RPB displayed higher removal efficiency than the counterpart in the STR, and the removal rate was greatly increased by 17.4 times.

DIA has been wide-ranging used in clinic because of its high throughput, high resolution and high reproducibility. The occurrence of mental disorders in encephalitis is common, and such neurocognitive impairment has a dramatically impact on the disease progression and prognosis of patients, which undoubtedly increases the economic burden of suferers' families and society. Under the circumstance that the mechanism of mental disorder of encephalitis is still unknown, this paper summarizes a large number of literatures of encephalitis, originates the possibility of the application of cerebrospinal luid detection by DIA in the occurrence of mental disorder of encephalitis, seeks for biomarkers for the occurrence of mental disorder of encephalitis, and provides clinical guidance.
Objective: To collect and establish normal data of the brain regions of Diannan small-ear (DSE pigs, basically throughout measuring and comparing computed tomography values of the barin. Methods: 12 ordinary DSE pigs were divided into juvenile, adult, old groups based on the physiological ages (n=4) A SOMATOM Definition AS 64-row 128-slice 4D spiral CT scanner (SOMATOM Definition AS, Germany) was used to collect CT images of DSE pigs, record and analyze the scanning data. Results: Compared with the juvenile group, the CT values of the right frontal lobe, right parietal lobe, right temporal lobe, left temporal lobe, and right occipital lobe were signiicantly higher in the elderly group. Compared with the adult group, the CT values of the right frontal lobe, left frontal lobe, right parietal lobe, right temporal lobe, left temporal lobe, and right occipital lobe of the elderly group were signiicantly higher. Conclusion:The results of the study can be used to evaluate the changes in CT values of various brain regions in piglets of different ages and future pig head injury models or other studies that require CT-based analysis.
Background:The traditional open surgery in the treatment of spinal tuberculosis has the disadvantages of greater trauma, with more intraoperative bleeding and long postoperative hospitalization days. With the development of minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) and spinal endoscopic systems, the minimally invasive spine surgery technique was increasingly being used by surgeons because it minimizes trauma, and patients experience faster recovery. The purpose of this study was to discuss the eicacy and clear indications of this treatment. Methods:The clinical data of thirty-one patients with thoracolumbar tuberculosis treated by posterior percutaneous pedicle screw fixation combined with full-endoscopic debridement and intravertebral bone grafting were analyzed retrospectively. The preoperative and postoperative imaging manifestations and clinical results were compared, and the postoperative complications were observed with a follow-up for more than 1 year. Results: Compared with values before the operation, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score were signiicantly decreased at 3 months after operation and at the last follow-up. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) level were decreased at 3 months after surgery and at the last follow-up, and no signiicant reduction was observed in the Cobb angle at 3 months after operation or at the last follow-up. In addition, imaging examinations showed that the necrotic material in vertebral bodies was adequately resected. Conclusion: One-stage percutaneous pedicle screw ixation combined with full-endoscopic focus debridement and intravertebral bone grafting can achieve the purpose of removing the focus of thoracolumbar tuberculosis, restoring neurological function, and reconstructing spinal stability. It was a safe and feasible surgical method and its surgical indications were clariied.
