The present study explores psychological models for changing consumers’ attitudes under the influence of advertisements in young people of 18 to 25 years of age. The aim of the study is to establish the influence of the advertisements of mobile phone operators on the attitudes, consumer thinking and behaviour of youth with respect to mobile products and services. The following tasks were set: • To study the advertisements of mobile phone operators in Bulgaria • To set a theoretical frame on consumers’ attitudes • To determine the models of attitudinal change and persuasion • To perform correlational analyses of statistically significant factors The methods used to achieve these tasks are the following: conducting two subsequent surveys on the same respondents regarding their behavior before, during and after exposure to advertisement; holding individual interviews with random young respondents.
This study focuses on advertising communication of mobile phone operators by indicating its effectiveness through the main acronyms for advertising influence. The aim of the study is to define precisely the acronyms applied in the area of communications, while searching for psychological efficiency of advertizing and its indicators. In order to accomplish this aim we have set the following tasks: • To study advertising communication of mobile phone companies • To design a theoretical model of the acronyms, applied in communication • To carry out T-tests for independent samples of demographic characteristics and emerging statistically significant factors • To measure the psychological efficiency of advertisement and its indicators through a survey The following methods were used to accomplish the tasks: conducting two subsequent surveys with the same respondents regarding advertising perception and influence.
The article examines and compares the results of a cross-sectional needs analysis survey for the purposes of designing an innovative EAP/ESPP course for students in Veterinary Medicine. Students from two European universities responded to a nominal polytomous survey which probed their range of preferences, expectations and motivation. We analyzed students’ selections using criteria such as language level, course content, teaching methods and forms, including the use of internet-based and ICT tools. Depending on their language level, students opted mostly for ESPP/EAP-specific activities, whereas preferences for general English skills improvement were higher in lower level students. Cultural differences were accounted for and explained to illustrate the traditional practices and the need for introducing more effective methods, including cooperation between the students and faculty of the two universities. We have also proposed directions for designing an innovative ESPP/EAP course, which will be implemented next semester at Trakia University.
