The vertical, horizontal, and intra-formation sweeping efficiencies of line drive water flooding are studied by using the methods of testing individualhorizons in both production and injection wells, logging for residual oilsaturation, pressured coring in check wells and reservoir numerical simulation. The understanding of water encroachment and distribution of residual oil have become the important bases for making adjustment of the oil field. Both the methods used and our understanding are preliminary, and have to be deepened and verified in production practice.
Introduction
It is shown by the practice in Daqing and Karamai oilfields that line drive water flooding with small spacing has achieve good development results in oil fields, with well-communicated reservoirs, large oil-bearing areas, relatively unbroken structures, medium to high permeabilities and less active edge water.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
