magnesium hydroxide whiskers; ABS; mechanical properties Abstract: The magnesium hydroxide (MH) whiskers/ABS composites were prepared by melt-extrusion with whiskers as fillers. Zinc stearate was used as modifier to improve the compatibility of the composites. The mechanical properties of ABS enhanced by different cotents of magnesium hydroxide whiskers were tested by the RGT-10 universal testing machine. When the content of whiskers was 10%, The comprehensive mechanical properties of the composites were the best, the max load was 0.30KN, the elastic modulus was 0.16Gpa, the tensile strength was 20.11Mpa, the total elongation was 10.24%, the fracture strength was 2.05Mpa. The fracture morphology of the composites was analyzed by SEM, the higher contents of magnesium hydroxide whisker, the worse-distributed whisker in ABS matrix.
The magnesium oxysulfate whiskers/PP composites were prepared by melt-extrusion with modified whiskers as fillers. The mechanical performances including the tensile strength, elongation at break and elastic modulus were tested by electronic universal testing machine.The effect of surface modifier on the mechanical properties of the composites was studied. In general, the mechanical properties of the composites of the zinc stearate modified whiskers/PP were better than it modified by coupling agent KH550. when the contents of the whiskers modified were 20%, the mechanical properties of the composites got the best. There occurred different organic molecule membranes on the surface of the modified whiskers, which lowered the interfacial energy of whiskers. So modified whiskers had different strengthening with PP matrix.
White carbon black (WCB) has important applications in many fields such as rubber production and bioengineering and it has become one of the most promising functional materials currently available on the market. This paper summarizes the preparation of domestic and overseas WCB and it introduces the application progress of WCB. The main problems regarding to the development and application of WCB and its future in China are also discussed.

In this paper, Author based on analysis of the internal structure of GTO, shows how GTO development IGCT through technical methods.Through simulation of its off and on performance, the work curve and comparing results of the two devices are given. Then on two components of the inverter circuits are analyzed and compared. Thinking in large power AC drive locomotive, IGCT inverter is greatly simplifier than GTO inverter circuit, and superior performance,it will become the main converter for AC driving locomotive.
