Amasya city, which has been chosen as the study site is an important city with its natural and cultural values. The important elements of the urban landscape are Yeşilırmak River, Yeşilırmak Valley, Traditional Ottoman Houses and Rock Tombs (Sepulchres) belonging to the Hellenistic Era. Yeşilırmak River which is influential on the form of the city also acts as an important determiner of the transportation system. The scope of work "An Urban Greenway Proposal For Amasya City Including Yeşilırmak Corridor" is created greenway routes of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) the primary functions were determined using the method. To determine each route's dominant function is carried out survey work group of experts consisting of 10 people. 'Alternative transportation', 'Continuity' and 'Other Functional Contribution' main functions are set for the greenway routes. In terms of the main functions Amasya-Erzincan Highway Corridor 'Continuity', Yeşilırmak River Corridor 'Alternative Transportation', while in Amasya Castle Corridor 'Other Functional Contribution (tourism and economic contribution, recreation, view control etc.)' function has the highest value. In addition to these three designated routes, new routes have been proposed 2 units with different functions and alternative transportation.
