The objective of this study was to find out how effective the use of cloud technologies is in the formation and development of critical thinking in future lawyers. An experimental model using cloud technologies was tested in training courses in the special (Civil Law, Fundamentals of Administrative Law) and general (English for Specific Purposes, Business English) subjects of the educational professional programme for training specialists of Specialty 081 “Law”.The method of test control and the method of component analysis were used to diagnose the level of academic performance of students selected for the pedagogical experiment in the training courses. To accomplish the research objectives, the results of the author’s tests (seven control points) performed by students of both groups. IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0.0.1 software was used to analyse the quantitative data. Two-tailed P-value and Student’s t test were calculated for statistical processing of experimental data.The study showed the effectiveness of the use of cloud technologies for the formation and development of critical thinking in future lawyers. The authors conclude that the use of cloud technologies in the professional and linguistic training of lawyers also facilitates feedback, which increases students’ educational motivation and allows for monitoring changes in students’ personality development.
The military invasion of the aggressor state into Ukraine is one of the most relevant topics in the recent Ukrainian and world academic literature because the results of the conflict will affect not only national interests but also the security and well-being of other states. Ukraine’s foreign policy strategy plays a significant role in the further development of the conflict. It improves relations with other states, obtaining support in the fight against the aggressor, restoring Ukraine's integrity and citizens' safety, counteracting the food crisis, etc. The study aims to determine the main strategic directions of Ukraine’s foreign policy, the characteristics of its legislative support, and its current state. The research used the following methods: economic and statistical analysis, the establishment of causal relationships, and the comparative method. The study identified and described six main directions of Ukraine’s foreign policy. Legislative documents that enshrine the outlined directions were identified. The government’s steps in specific directions were described. The statistical characteristics of individual areas of Ukraine’s foreign policy were outlined. The state of some aspects of Ukraine’s foreign policy before the war and after the full-scale invasion was compared. Ukraine’s prospects for achieving the desired results in the specified areas were assessed.
The article urges the problem of enhancing the academic activity of law students as one of the ways of improving the efficiency and quality of professional training. The nature and structure of academic activity of future lawyers are covered. Thus, academic activity is a form of a human activity, which structure is viewed through the prism of mastering a set of knowledge and methods of activity, moral and ethical values, as well as social relations. Academic activity of student youth promotes mastering of basic methods and practical experience of solving professional problems, development of planetary thinking and creativity, that is, it is a professional-oriented activity. In order to enhance the academic activity of law students, the features of its structure were investigated. In particular, the following components were selected: motivational, cognitive and practical.A questionnaire on the topic “Why did I choose the profession of a lawyer?” was conducted. The pedagogical experiment and psychological research based on two methodologies, Ilyina's "Motivation to study in higher educational institutions" and Ayzenko's method of figurative thinking "Find regularity", have been involved.An assessment of the impact done by interactive teaching methods of students, who are studying at the National Aviation University, the specialty "Law", has also been provided.The main ways to solve the problem of intensifying the educational activities of future lawyers have been identified. They include the development of communication, mental processes, motivation to study, active involvement of students in educational activities, and taking responsibility for studying in the higher educational establishment. Problems of interaction between teachers and students while training and increasing students' independence need further development.
The aim of the research was to analyze the latest values of the EU in the context of their adaptation in the process of state-building in the candidate countries for enlargement with a view to reforming the legal field of the States. The main method was the observation method as a component of the experimental procedure with subsequent interpretation of the results (description). The results of the study demonstrate the axiological importance of the EU’s main values. At the same time, the need for a gradual implementation of reforms in the sphere of state-building is argued, given the desirability of preserving national identity. It is concluded that the low level of adaptation of the EU pyramid of core values is corroborated and confirmed by statistical data, which requires a qualitative transformation of the reform strategy of the state-building processes of the candidate countries for EU enlargement. Scientific research was concerned with the search for the optimal and effective concepts of the integrated application of European values in the state-building processes in the candidate countries for EU enlargement.
