Different types and operating modes of a tubular membrane reactor for steam methane reforming with a production rate of 0.6 m3/h are compared using the results of mathematical modeling. It is shown that, for a cylindrical membrane, the use of a catalytic bed based on waved bands of porous nickel instead of a gran ular bed of a commercial catalyst (NIAP 18) can theoretically increase the yield of hydrogen by 15-18%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
