The aim is to assess the health status (morbidity and disability) of adolescents in Krasnodar Krai.Materials and methods. We analysed the offi cial statistical data on the health state of 10– 18 year-old children in Krasnodar Krai during the 2013–2017 period using Form 12 “Information on the number of diseases registered in patients living in the service area of the medical organization” and Form 19 “Information on disabled children”. In addition, the data presented in the report “On medical support of citizens before their initial military registration in Krasnodar Krai in 2017” was analysed.Results. Diseases of the respiratory tract, digestive system, musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, as well as traumas and poisoning, are shown to be leading conditions in the structure of adolescents’ general and primary morbidity. Over the past fi ve years, a decrease in the overall and primary morbidity in 10–14 year-old children has been recorded, although these indicators have shown a growing trend in children aged 15–18 years old. An increase in general and primary disabilities across all age groups in Krasnodar Krai was revealed.Conclusion. An increase in the primary and overall morbidity in 15–18 year-old adolescents, as well as an increase in primary and general disabilities in 10–18 year-old adolescents has been observed. The problem of adolescent health can be solved using an integrated approach. Positive dynamics can only be achieved by oncerted efforts of medical, public and scientifi c organizations.

BURLUTSKAIA COMBINATION OF PHYSIOLOGICAL FACTORS AND HERBAL THERAPY IN REHABILITATION TREATMENT OF OFTEN PAINFUL CHILDREN Department of pediatrics № 2 of Kuban state medical universityResults. Anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating effect is registered due to increase level of immunoglobulin in nasal secretion. Recovery morphofunctional condition of epithelium mucous membrane cells (cytoprotective impact) is noted at children with chronic tonsillitis.Conclusion. Combined use of physical factor and phytotherapy Tonzingon H at children with chronic tonsillitis at the stage of rehabilitation in a therapeutic treatment center promotes full implementation of individual programs of recovery treatment.
Aim. The study was designed to review the Russian and foreign literature of recent years on modern methods of diagnosis and management of children with pulmonary hypertension.Materials and methods. The analysis of Russian and foreign literature was conducted in RSCI, Scopus, Web of Science, Pubmed databases.Results. Pulmonary hypertension (LH) is a rare, severe and progressive pathology with an unfavorable prognosis. For the first time, the clinical case of LH was described in the early XXth century, and only in recent decades, there were new drugs that could improve patients’ survival. The problem of LH is relevant in the clinical practice of a pediatrician. This pathology is often a complication of many cardiovascular and bronchopulmonary diseases in children. More than half of congenital heart defects in children are accompanied by LH. Bronchopulmonary dysplasia and interstitial lung lesions are also the leading causes of LH in the pediatric population. The evolution of drug therapy is associated with new ideas about the pathogenesis of the disease. If previously LH was associated with vascular tone disorders, recently, the pathogenesis is considered as a vascular remodeling, accompanied by a pathomorphological cascade of cell proliferation, hypertrophy, apoptosis, production and degradation of the intercellular matrix. However, despite the obvious breakthrough in the treatment of LH, the disease remains incurable and life-threatening.Conclusion.The problem of perfect diagnosis and effective treatment of LH is not completely solved nowadays. However, the progress made in pathogenetic therapy in the last decade allows us to hope for the emergence of new drugs that can significantly improve the prognosis and prolong the life of the patient.
Background. Recently, there has been an increase in the incidence of pertussis in unvaccinated, as well as vaccinated children and adults. The major risk group for pertussis are infants and children over 4 years of age due to gradual decrease in basic immunity.Objective. The aim of the study was to analyze postvaccinal immunity against pertussis in individuals aged 3 to 25 years in Krasnodar.Methods. The study was carried out in the period between July 2018 and October 2019 and included patients aged 3 to 25 years with completed (according to National Immunization Schedule) immunization against pertussis with no history of pertussis in the past. Postvaccinal immunity against pertussis in this sample was determined by the ratio of study participants with minimum protective antibodies titer to Bordetella pertussis ( 1:160).Results. The minimum protective antibody titer was revealed in 24 out of 76 participants. Distribution to age groups was the following: children aged 3 to 7 years — 2/28 (7%), 8 to 17 years — 13/22 (59%; p < 0.001, compared with the younger age group), 18 years — 9/26 (35%; p = 0.017). There was no postvaccinal immunity (no antibodies detected) in 6 (21%), 1 (5%) and 4 (15%) participants, respectively.Conclusion. Insufficient postvaccinal (humoral) immunity against pertussis was revealed in majority of children under 7 years. The ratio of such children decreases with age. It suggests the presence of hidden circulation of Bordetella pertussis and, as a result, previous medical condition in erased or abortive form.
